1. National School Boards Association to Showcase Workshop's Technology Innovation The National School Boards Association (NSBA) selected the World Wide Workshop as one of six Technology Innovation Showcase companies for its annual conference, to be held in San Diego on April 13-15. The Showcase was created to highlight emerging companies that represent the diversity of new solutions in education, said Ann Flynn, NSBAs Director of Education Technology and State Association Services. The conference attracts over 5,000 school board members and superintendents from across the United States and Canada to be educated about the ways in which innovation is changing education. 2. Microsoft Hosts a STEM Innovation Field Trip for Globaloria Students in Silicon Valley Two Globaloria classes from adVENTURE STEM Academy at Herman Intermediate School in San Jose, California, visited Microsoft headquarters this month. STEM Innovation Field Trips give students a glimpse into the world of careers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics and inspire them to create a bright future in the global knowledge economy. During the field trip, the seventh and eighth grade students toured the Microsoft campus and met with Microsoft professionals,Thea Nilsson and Kenny Spade of the Microsoft Corporate Citizenship group, to learn about STEM careers. They also visited a Microsoft store and Community Technology Center where they interacted with cutting-edge

technology products. Many of these students never even dreamed they could be the next generation of inventors and engineers. Globaloria is empowering them with the skills, and STEM innovation field trips like these are the catalyst to their imaginations. Middle school today, Microsoft tomorrow!" said Shubha Tuljapurkar, Globaloria Program Director in San Jose/Silicon Valley.
