This project brie discusses the issues associated with a potentialHighland Road interchange. It also briefy describes a range o alternatives developed and how they address these issues, aswell as comparing the impacts and costs associated with theseimprovements. The recommendation or an interchange willbe based on the results o the trac analysis, local desire or aninterchange and local cost share participation.
Issues in the Area:
Local access to I-43 rom Highland Road
Alternatives to be evaluated in the environmental impact statement includevarious No-Build and Build alternatives. The No-Build alternative leaves thesystem as it currently exists and serves as a base alternative or comparison. TheBuild alternatives presented tonight are shown below.
- Reconstruct reeway with no access to Highland Road.
Tight Diamond Interchange
- Tight diamond interchange with tight urban style ramps on the east side toavoid impacts with the railroad.
