In an effort to keep the Atlantic Yards Community aware of upcoming constructionactivities, ESD and Forest City Ratner provide the following outline of anticipated upcomingconstruction activities. We hope it keeps you informed and helps you plan for any possibleinconveniences. Please note: the scope and nature of activities are subject to change based upon field conditions. In addition, during the utility work water shut-offs may be required; theseshutdowns are done under the oversight of DEP and property owners will be givenadvance notice. All work has been approved by appropriate City and State agencieswhere required.
B-2 Tower, Modular Residential
Delivery of additional equipment as required supporting continued excavation.
Support of Excavation (SOE) piles will continue to be installed and filled withconcrete.
Continue first cut / excavation of site work conditions in coordination with approvedSOE and commence 2
excavation cut down another +/- 8ft.
Test pile installation complete 1/30/13. Testing procedure to commence. Productiondrilling installation activities targeted to start 2/11/13.Daily cleanup activities of sidewalks and streets as required ongoing.
Dean Street Playground Comfort Station
As part of the construction impact mitigation requirements FCRC is constructing acomfort station in the Dean Street Playground near the eastern entrance to the park atBergen Street between 6
and Carlton Avenues. The design, which includes men’sand women’s rooms, a small maintenance storage room and perimeter paving andlandscaping, has been approved by the New York City Department of Parks andRecreation, Community Board, and the New York City Public Design Commission.Work has been completed with the exception of punch list and turn-on of utilities
