This presentation is called "A Wirlwind Tour of Ant" We will cover how, when and why to use Ant, learn about built in tasks and how to use the most common ones. We will look at the most useful optional task and what prerequisites are required. Then it's on to XDoclet, which is an add-on tool for Ant that makes life much easier for J2EE development.

Biography
----------
Joey Gibson is a Senior Consultant for BravePoint, located in Norcross, Georgia. He is the co-author of Ant Developer's Handbook, published by SAMS, and has had two articles published in Java Developer's Journal. He has been in the technology industry for 14 years and has specialized in Java development since 1996; the past two and a half years building J2EE applications. Though he spends most of this time working with Java, his favorite language is Ruby, and he is now a member of the JRuby development team. He recently founded the Atlanta Ruby User Group.
