Topic: Switch on and off the computer and use MS Word.

Lesson Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the student will be able:
1. name the computer components they have studied;
2. operate the computer, to switch on and switch off the computer
by following the steps;
3. Switch on the monitor by pressing the button;
4. Identify which computer component is used to switch on the
computer;
5. To open and close MS Word;
6. Type in their names.

Content:
1. Introduce to the students which part of the system unit use to switch
on the computer.
2. Show them how which button to press to switch on the monitor, wait
for a few seconds the windows interface to appear.
3. Open MS Word
4. Type in their own names.
5. Close MS Word
6. The steps on how the students to switch off the computer. The steps
are:
 • Click ‘Start’;
• Click ‘Turn Off Computer’;
• Click ‘Turn Off’

Methods of teaching:

1. The teacher shows the students where and which one to click in order
to switch on the computer;
2. The teacher will show which button to click to switch on the monitor;
3. Instruct them to open MS Word and instruct them to type in their
names.
4. Instruct them to close Microsoft Word.
5. The teacher show the students the steps how to switch off the
computers in the correct ways.

Activities:

1. Let the students do all they have studied by themselves all over
again.
2. They can type in A-Z.
