Problem 1
Use the function generator to generate a 3 Vp-p 2 kHzsqu a re waveform. Set theDC
offset of the waveform to be 1 V. Display the waveform on channel 1 of the
oscilloscope. Make sure that the scope is in DC mode.
Sketch the waveforms here. Indicate the ground level on your sketch as well.

Volts/div =__________________ , time/div =__________________.
Measure the DC (average) voltage and the rms voltage of this waveform.
VDC =____________________

Vrms =_____________________

Change the DC offset to 2 V.
Measure the DC (average) voltage and the rms voltage of this waveform.

Set the function generator to generate a 2 Vp-p 1 kHzsinusoidal waveform withNO
DC offset.
a) Sketch the waveforms here. Make sure that you put appropriate labels (\u201cCh-1\u201d or
\u201cCh-2\u201d) on your sketch. Indicate the ground level on your sketch as well.

b) Measure the rms voltage V1 across R1 and the rms voltage V2 across R2.
V1 (rms) =_____________________
V2 (rms) =_____________________
c) Measure the rms current I1 through the resistor R1.
