CAP’s Core Values are A Guide for Life
We learned in Learn to Lead that CAP has identified four Core Valuesto guide every cadet. The Core Values are the four basic qualitiesCAP expects all members to display at all times: Integrity First,Volunteer Service, Excellence in All We Do, and Respect. These corevalues are to guide how we live and perform our CAP relatedmissions. What is the difference between honesty and integrity? We shouldaspire to both but they are different tenants.Honesty means thatwhatever you've done, good or bad, you speak the truth about it. Inother words, you don't lie. Integrity means that you adhere to a moralconviction, or code of honor, that won't allow you to do certain thingsthat you feel would debase you
Integrity should guide each of us inour choices.Volunteer Service is the idea that it is our moral conviction and civicresponsibility to donate our time and efforts to make our community a better place such as the food drive we participated in on November 17.Excellence in all we do means that no matter the challenge we mighteach be faced with, that we aspire to give the challenge 100% of our effort. For example, I try to give my PAO job a great effort toadvance our squadron. I know that each of our Executive Staff gives100% of themselves to lead our squadron.Respect is the idea that we should treat each cadet in the same way wewould want to be treated. Each of us should aim for a spirit of tolerance and acceptance so that we can appreciate what each personcan contribute to our squadron.Try to represent the core values with CAP and everyday as a guide for your life.

Denton’s McNatt Supports Nighthawk
Jim McNatt, a local automobile dealer, is excited to partner with Nighthawk Composite Squadron. Nighthawk is selling raffle ticketsand 100% of the money raised goes to Nighthawk CompositeSquadron. After the first $20 of tickets are sold, then a cadet can put$1 of every $2 toward their CAP account. Money in this account can be used for future CAP expenses including encampment, gliding, national activities etc.The winner of the raffle will have their choice of a BRAND NEW car or truck from one of the Jim McNatt Auto Group dealerships. They can choose a brand new Honda, Toyota, Scion, Chevrolet, Buick or GMC vehicle with an MSRP of $25,000 or less. The McNatt AutoGroup even pays the tax, title and license on the vehicle. The winner does not need to be present to win, but must be over the age of 18
