This piece is inspired by the sense of natural harmony of Newyorker artist Richard Tuttle. It might sound organic, meditative.I chose seven octagons that he made to composethe seven movements of TuttleHead. Irregular octagons whose 8 angles make a total of 1080º, what is translated in 1080 per movement. This is an excerpt to be played by the Jack Quartet in NYU on May 1st 2011.The whole piece will include a video-art.- The musical discourse has
no pulses or metric accents
-
Barlines
mean just guides or meeting points.-
No vibrato
, just sounds as pure as possible.
