Volume V Edition iDec. 25, 2006 - MerryChristmas! With the greengrass outside of our windowand the recent spring-likeweather, it’s hard to believea holiday greeting is season-ally appropriate. The year 2006 was oneof the biggest in our livesand we look back with grat-titude for all we have andeveryone who has had a partin our lives. The year started withthe birth of our second son,Carter on January 10
th
. Sincebirth he’s been an exception-ally happy child and a defi-nite influence on our family. He was a very quiet infantand now he’s more fun thana child should be.Cynthia’s workloadseems to grow everyday nowthat Carter is mobile too.Still, she manages to meetplenty of new people, exer-cise at the YMCA, plan lotsof activities for our family, and take care of us all. Weestimate that Cynthia hascleaned up 365,000 messesover the past year. No wait...she’s cleaning up number365,001 right now.Peter had the challengeof a newborn and sever-al sicknesses to deal withduring his last semester of school. With lots of prayingand studying, he receivedhis Bachelor’s in ActuarialScience from BYU in April. We have absolutely no plansto ever return to school. However, membership in theSociety of Actuaries requiresthe equivalent of obtaining aPhD, so Peter doesn’t reallyget a break from coursework for around 7 years.Immediately after grad-uation, we packed up ourlives and headed to Wiscon-sin to start Peter’s full-timework as an actuary for As-surant Health. The move was long, butit provided us our major va-cation of the year. We madestops at Arches NationalPark, Denver, and WinterQuarters in Omaha.Even though we hadlived in Wisconsin for an en-tire summer we had a lot of changes to grow into. Re-gardless, we love the area, the job, the ward we’re in,and we can’t wait to see
