ABC Football Competition 2013 Terms and Conditions of Entry 1.

Information on how to enter the Competition and the prize details form part of these terms and conditions of entry. By participating, Entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. 2. The promoters are The Herald & Weekly Times Pty Ltd, (HWT) of 40 City Road, Southbank, VIC, 3006 (ABN 49 004 113 937) and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), of 700 Harris Street, Ultimo, NSW, 2007 (ABN 52 429 278 345). 3. The Competition is only open to all legal residents of Australia at the time of entry, except employees and immediate family of the Promoters and their agencies associated with this promotion. 4. The Competition opens at 9.00am AEDT on Friday 15th February 2013 and closes at 6.00pm AEST on Friday 10th May 2013. To enter, Entrants must tell us in 30 words or less which player you think most deserved a Brownlow medal, but never officially won one. 5. In order to be eligible to win, Entrants must send the entry form published in the ABC Football Magazine, including their name, address, age and daytime contact number by mail to News Custom Publishing, ABC Football Competition, Po Box 14725, Melbourne VIC 8001. Photocopies of the entry form are acceptable. Only entries that comply with these terms and conditions will be eligible to win. 6. There will be one (1) winner and one (1) runner up. The winner will receive a Sherrin football signed by members of the ABC Grandstand AFL commentary team valued at, at least $139.99, with a money cant buy element and an ABC books prize pack, valued at $199.00. The runner-up will receive an ABC books prize pack valued at 199.00. 7. Only entries that comply with these terms and conditions will be eligible to enter. Entrants can enter as many times as they wish. The Entrant whose entry is judged by the Promoters panel of judges to be the most imaginative and inspiring will be the winner. The Entrant whose entry is judged by the Promoters panel of judges to be the second most imaginative and inspiring will be the runner up. The winner and the runner up will be notified by phone and email, and their names will appear in the Public notice section of The Australian on Saturday 25th May 2013. 8. The Promoters decision is final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into. Judging will be by suitably qualified judges (from within NCP/ABC) able to assess the quality and creativity of the entries and each entry will be judged on its merits. Chance plays no part in determining the winner. 9. Upon receipt of entries, they become the property of the Promoters and will not be returned to the Entrants. All entries will be entered into a database and the Promoters may potentially use the Entrants names, addresses and telephone numbers for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid unless otherwise advised by the Entrant. The Entrants irrevocably consent to the Promoters publishing the entries and Entrants names in the ABC annual Football Magazine and/or The Australian newspaper and/or the internet. 10. The Promoters take no responsibility for any lost, stolen or misdirected prize which is not as a result of fault of the Promoters. Where a prize is unavailable for any reason,

the Promoters reserve the right to substitute that prize for a prize of equal value at the publishing date. 11. The prizes are strictly as above. The prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. The Promoters accept no responsibility for any variation in prize value. The Promoters may in their discretion refuse to award any prize to any Entrant who fails to comply with these terms and conditions. 12. If for any reason beyond the control of the Promoters any aspect of this competition is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any cause beyond the control of the Promoters which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoters may in their sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition, or invalidate any affected entries, subject to the approval of the relevant gaming authorities where required. 13. The Promoters do not exclude any rights and remedies in respect of goods or services under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or equivalent State or Territory legislation which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified. However, the Promoters exclude all rights, remedies, conditions and warranties in respect of goods or services from your use of this site, your entry into this competition or your enjoyment of the prize whether based in statute, common law or otherwise to the extent permitted by law. To the full extent permitted by the law, the Promoters will not be liable for any loss (including, but not limited to, direct, indirect, special or consequential loss or damage, loss of opportunity, revenue or profit), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any persons negligence) arising directly or indirectly out of or in connection with this promotion or from accepting or using the prize. 14. The Herald & Weekly Times Pty Limited collects your personal information to assist us in providing the goods or services you have requested, to process your Competition entries, and to improve our products and services. We or any of our Australian related companies may be in touch by any means (including by SMS or email) at any time in the future to let you know about goods, services or promotions which may be of interest to you. We may also share your information with other persons or entities who assist us in providing our services, running Competitions or with other companies who provide prize for Competitions or reader offers.
