In the late nineties, “boy bands” were making their way into the spotlight. Although there
were many to choose from, two specific
„N Sync and
the Backstreet Boys, stole thehearts of women everywhere. It has always been up for debate, who is the winner between thetwo, and although they share many similarities and have many differences, I think they are bothgold medalists.
„N Sync and the Backstreet Boys both consisted of five boys
in their twenties. Bothgroups had major vocal abilities as well as dancing abilities. Both sang the same type of music,and both were able to enjoy success, and any dedicated fan would debate to the death over whichgroup was better. These two bands eventually fell under the same record label, BMG Ariola
Munich, as well as the same manager, Johnny Wright. It didn‟t take long for either of the two
bands to become successful. Within the first year of their careers, both bands had made it to the
top of the charts. Both „N Sync and the Backstreet boys had many offers coming in from
networks such as The Disney Channel. They also became very loved by stars as big as Janet
Jackson and the New Kids on the Block. Even though both „N Sync and the Backstreet Boys
were very successful, the height of their careers mainly consisted of the first three years.
