Proessor with special responsibilities within Geographical
InormationSystems/Science with special ocus on the application in spatial planning,natural resources and human/environment studies.
The University o Copenhagen, Faculty o Lie Sciences, Centre or Forest, Landscapeand Planning wishes to appoint a proessor with special responsibilities inGeographical Inormation Systems/Science with special ocus on the application inspatial planning, natural resources and human/environment studies rom August 1,2009 or as soon as possible thereater.The proessorship is a category where the appointment is limited to a fve-yearperiod, with the possibility o a 3-year extension. On the expiry o the proessorshipperiod, the appointee is ensured employment and remuneration as an associateproessor. It will also be possible to apply or the proessorship parttime.
The appointee should have qualifcations within one or more o theollowing areas:
• Spatial analysis and modelling based on geocoded registers and data, including e.g.
temporal analysis o the development o the built andopen landscape, scenario building related to land uses, transportationand inrastructure eects.
• Landscape and environmental analysis based on spatial data – development of
tools or GIS-based landscape analysis including modelling and analysis o land usechanges and terrain.
• Modelling of human behaviour in space including aggregated analytical approaches
such as accessibility modelling as well as modelling individual movement- andchoice behaviour in the orm o agent based simulation and modelling.Employment and remuneration will be according to the Agreement
between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation
