Auckland Transport Update – Orakei Local Board:October 2012
The purpose of this report is to update the Board on a range of transport related issues in Orakeiarea during September 2012.
a) That the Auckland Transport Update – Orakei Local Board: October 2012 report bereceived.
Reporting Back on Resolutions

b) That the Orakei Local Board requests that Orakei relevant Auckland Transport Quarterly Reporting items be bolded, or at the front of the report, and other areas listed as appendices.
Attachment A of Auckland Transport’s Quarterly Report consists of two distinct parts – Regionalprojects and local board-specific projects. For future Quarterly Reports, this attachment will bedivided into two distinct attachments so that the local board-specific projects are clearly separatedfrom the regional projects.Resolution number OR/2012/434
b) That the memo from Traffic and Transportation Engineers Ltd regarding Tamaki Drive Bus Stop Change of Operating Hours be received and that: i) the Orakei Local Board supports the decision of St Heliers Village Association to accept the recommendation contained in the memo to change the No Stopping restriction on bus stop 7344 from limited hours (6am-10am and 3pm-7pm) to ‘No stopping at All Times’.ii) that the Orakei Local Board supports the decision of the St Heliers Village Association to explore options for the creation of additional street side car parks outside the non- operational Police Station and other initiatives as detailed by the Manager St Heliers Village Association before agreeing to the bus rerouting scheme outlined in the memo, whilst acknowledging that this change would contribute to improved safety at the corner of Polygon Road and Turua Street by shifting bus parking to the opposite side of Polygon Road and turning the existing bus stop into a ‘No Standing’ zone.
The Orakei Local Board and St Heliers Village Business Association’s support for changing BusStop 7344 from limited hours to ‘No Stopping at All Times’ is noted and this change will take placeas soon as possible.
