To Whom It May Concern: Gabrielle DeSano completed her pre-student teaching internship in my classroom from September through December

of 2012. I find Ms. DeSano to be a very proficient and effective educator. She conducts herself in a manner which shows commitment to the students and their learning. Ms. DeSano is capable of delivering viable, concept based lessons. She is willing and eager to contribute to our schools needs, and is competent in the theory of team teaching overall. Ms. DeSano is knowledgeable in her certified content areas. I have observed her ability to implement Social Studies and Mathematic lessons with clearly developed objectives. She adjusts her lessons to cater to the various learning styles and special needs of her students. She shows a developed understanding for multicultural perspectives in teaching. She incorporates technology into her lessons and utilizes the districts educational software programs, interactive whiteboards, projectors and class set of student laptop computers. Her lessons engage the students through interactive educational websites. Ms. DeSano analyzes students work and returns their assignments in a timely manner; which allows the students to learn from their errors and build on their strengths. Her assessments are very proficient in measuring the students mastery of our states standards. Ms. DeSano has developed a wonderful system of classroom management. Her students always actively participate in her lessons. Her classrooms atmosphere is always one that encourages respect for all. Ms. DeSano demonstrates a clear understanding of the teachers role beyond the classroom. I believe Ms. DeSano is dependable in all matters applicable to the professional role of an educator in the 21st century and would be an incredible asset to your district.
