The company’s US operationscurrently produce more than 3Mtof thermal coal per year from theirwestern US coal mines, with outputsold domestically to power utilities. Ambre is planning to extend thescale of its coal mining operationsand commence the export of coalto power utilities located in Asiathrough its own port facilities in theUS Paciﬁc Northwest: MillenniumBulk Terminals (MBT) in WashingtonState (62% owned by Ambre), andthe Morrow Paciﬁc project (MPP) atPort of Morrow and Port Westwardin Oregon (100% owned by Ambre). Ambre is also assessingdevelopment opportunities at Portof Corpus Christi in Texas. Through its Ambre Fuels subsidiary,the company is progressing plansto capitalise on the versatility of coaland its ability to be converted toliquid fuels for transportation.
