IntroductionHello my fellow Speech-Language Pathologists. Being part of a company in theSpeech-Language Pathology industry, we've come across many Speech-LanguagePathologists who are looking at private practice as an option. Many of themaren’t ready to jump-in full-time into private practice. Some are looking for extrahours and others are brand new moms who would like to spend more time athome.I was a busy community Speech-Language Pathologist working long hours andspent most of my time in my car. I was burned out and wanted to set up my ownprivate practice from home. It took me more than 2 years of planning with mybrother Greg and a maternity leave to get it going. Fast forward a few years andTinyEYE Therapy Servicesnow allows me and many others to work from home asprivate contractors.Even though I do put in a lot of hours making sure the company grows, I spendmost of my days at home with my newborn while also being there for my 9 yearold. This E-Book will give you a foundation on which to ease your way in to theworld of working from home as a Speech-Language Pathologist.Sincerely,Marnee Brick

How do I work from home?
My companyTinyEYE Therapy Servicesconnects SLPs to students in schools viatelepractice. Our SLPs login toTinyEYE.comfrom home and the students do thesame at their school. Web-cameras allow them to see each other and headsetsallow them talk to each other. TheTinyEYEgames help facilitate therapy and thereporting functions help the SLP organize their therapy plans.
What do I need to make this work?
Well if you’d like to work with us as a contractor, you can send us your resume toinfo@tinyeye.com. Someone from our team will get in touch with you to find outmore about your situation.Set up a room (if you have a den, this would be perfect) to be your office orsomewhere where you can’t be disturbed or distracted easily. You’ll want yourwork space separated so you can focus on work. Working from home can be achallenge since it is very easy to be distracted. Having a dedicated space for workis important. You can also deduct a portion of your mortgage or rent from yourincome tax!
Please consult your accountant for details.
