Meeting Dates

The Executive Committee will hearthe status of Council actions relative tothe Sustainable Fisheries Act and theimplementation schedule for theCouncil’s sustainable fisheries actamendments. The Committee will alsodiscuss how the Council and NMFS canwork together to meet the mandates of the Sustainable Fisheries Act, discusscoordination of the Council’spreparation of stock assessment andfishery evaluation (SAFE) reports, hearan overview of the Atlantic CoastalCooperative Statistics Program (ACCSP),and make revisions to the Council’sOperations Plan.

The Committee will discuss CalendarYear 1999 Council activities and budgetand discuss coordination of Councilactivities and planned actions with theNMFS regional office and fisheriescenter resources.Although other issues not containedin this agenda may come before thisCommittee for discussion, in accordancewith the Magnuson-Stevens FisheryConservation and Management Act,those issues may not be the subject of formal action during this meeting.Action will be restricted to those issuesspecifically identified in this notice.

:
Under the provisions of thePaperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (44U.S.C. Chapter 35), the FederalAcquisition Regulation (FAR)Secretariat has submitted to the Officeof Management and Budget (OMB) arequest to review and approve anextension of a currently approvedinformation collection requirementconcerning Buy American Act—Construction (Grimberg Decision). Arequest for public comments waspublished at 63 FR 59950, November 6,1998. No comments were received.

SUPPLEMENTARY INFORMATION

A. Purpose
The clauses at FAR 52.225–5, BuyAmerican Act—Construction Materials,and FAR 52.225–15, Buy AmericanAct—Construction Materials underTrade Agreements Act and NorthAmerican Free Trade Agreement,provide that offerors/contractorsrequesting to use foreign constructionmaterial, other than constructionmaterial eligible under a tradeagreement, shall provide adequateinformation for Government evaluationof the request. These regulationsimplement the Buy American Act forconstruction (41 U.S.C. 10a–10d).
B. Annual Reporting Burden
Public reporting burden for thiscollection of information is estimated toaverage
