Youth Artists, we present toyou the Mississauga YouthFilm Festival (MYFF). The purpose of the lm festivalis not only to showcasethe talents of Mississaugayouth, but to inspire them tocontinue creating short lms.The MYFF will take placeon Friday, May 3rd 2013,as a part of the celebrationsfor REBEL - MississaugaYouth Arts Week. It will be held at the MeadowvaleTheatre (6315 MontevideoRd.) starting at 7 p.m. andending at approximately 9 p.m. The winners of the bestlms, chosen by a panel of professional judges as wellas the general public, will be awarded prizes for their efforts and quality shownthrough their cinematography.Awards include gift cards,memberships and the chanceto have their lm featuredat Celebration Square.Admissions will be free of charge, however, tickets must be reserved as they are handedout on a rst-come-rst-serve basis. The deadline for submissions is April 1, 2013.In order to participate inthe lm festival, the youthlmmakers, workingindependently or in groups of no more than 5 people, must be between the ages of 13-24. Theindividual or the group mustthen submit a lm that is no
shorter than three minutes but
no longer than ten minutes. Itcan be a past school project or a short lm that was createdfor the event, and ideally itwould be related to the themeof REBEL.
