I am leaving you with a gift – peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world can not give. So do not be troubled or afraid
. John 14:27. This was the bible verse I was givenwhen I first arrived at the base in Townsville, looking back over the past few weeks I realize thatthis verse was so important and just what I neededwhen I was first settling in! God is awesome!I share flat with 7 other ladies and at first it wasvery daunting, walking into a room where most of the girls know each other (as they hadbeen here a few more days) was very scary and Ifelt very isolated, yet they were all very friendly andwe were all soon getting on very well.
: The bed I sleep in - sorry mum I know it’s messy –there are three other bunk beds in this room)I have been in Townsville for twoweeks andalready thewomen and men Icome in contactwith everyday arealready brothersand sisters that Ican rely on andtrust. My Daily Routine:6.00AM – Up for 30 minutes exercise6.45AM – Breakfast8.00AM – Worship or small groups depending onwhat day it is.9.30AM – Lectures start10.30AM – Morning tea! (Consists of Sliced orangeand apple and crisps)10.50AM – Lectures begin again12.30PM – Lectures end + LunchAfternoons are free5.30PM – Tea7.00PM – Work duty - I clean (and scrub) the floorsin the main living area’s! This has taught me a lotabout forgiveness of the menial things in life, suchas when someone with mucky shoes walks overmy nice clean floor messing it up! Which I guesscan be linked to the amazing forgiveness of Christwho constantly forgives us for not only the menialpetty things that we do but the massive mistakesthat we all make in our lives.
JANUARY 2011 UPDATE.
Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. For great is his love towards us,and the faithfulness of the Lord enduresforever. Praise the Lord.
Psalm 117. This is sotrue here in Townsville, there are 14 nations on myschool. I think we often forget how many nationsthere are and how many Christians there arearound the world and start to believe we are theonly ones battling against the world to save people. We are not the only ones! :-D Praise God! YWAM Townsville has a passion for youth and runa program called Youth Street where over 100young people get together and play games, sharefellowship and get to experience a love andacceptance from people not only their own age butwith peoplefrom all overthe world andmany differentages. (
