The Pantheon
Is a building in Rome, Italy,commissioned by Marcus Agrippa as a temple to all thegods of Ancien Rome, andrebuilt by Emperor Hadrian inabout 126 C.E The building iscircular with a portico of largegranite Corinthian columns(eight in the first rank and twogroups of four behind) under a pediment. Arectangular vestibule links theporch to the rotunda, which isunder acoffered concretedome, with a central opening (oculus) tothe sky.
