This is a paper compilation of models and experiences in open access of organizations similar to IRRI’s science publishing heavily drawn from European experiences. The objective of this paper is to promote thinking on the re-engineering of the publishing processes and business of the institute. Open Access is one of the Communication and Publications Services strategic moves for science communication at IRRI.
