MORAY NURSERY NEWSFEBRUARY 2009
January was a very busy time in Moray Nursery! On 16
th
January the children started their football coaching sessions organised by Falkirk FootballClub. By the end of the four sessions the children had certainly covered a lot of skills – dribbling, stopping the ball, passing and of course scoring goals! These were really fun activity sessionsenjoyed by everyone! These sessions are now being sponsored by Clark Erikson so every nursery child has access tothem. The photographer from Falkirk Herald visited during the morning session to take a picturefor the paper. Look for it in this weeks paper. On Thursday 22
nd
January we had a fantastic ceilidh and Burns Supper in nursery. This year welearned a few dances before the ceilidh with the help of Miss Mitchell the Primary 2 teacher. Thiscertainly helped when dancing to the music of the accordion and the fiddle played by Mr & MrsMcLay. Their son Jack also played the accordion for us this year and he’s only 6! Many of thechildren enjoyed eating haggis, neeps and tatties too! I think you’ll see from the photographs thatthe children had lots of fun! We had two teaching students and one work experience pupil working with us in January. I think they were all amazed at the work involved in working with this age group but all seemed to enjoythe experience! We wish them well in their future careers.
