Singapore’s Housing and Development Board (HDB) has built about a million units of attractive, livable public housing.

Included are gardens, walkways, Olympic size swimming pools, food courts, schools and work places

Following are photographs by the author David Hoicka of one neighborhood in Singapore, named Queenstown. This was originally one of the earliest neighborhoods of modern Singapore, and has been updated periodically by HDB.
