CUW: The only Conservative College Campus in Wisconsin
Reaction to article in Cap Times by Jack Craver A recent article in The Cap Times, How liberal are Wisconsin college campuses? examined election data from the general election. The source rattled off 21 universities around the state that the majority of student population voted for President Barack Obama. The audacious claim was made that There is no such thing as a 'conservative school' in Wisconsin.

The article failed to mention Concordia University-Wisconsin (CUW), located in Mequon with a student population of over 7750. The reason CUW is not mentioned with the list of universities who voted for Obama is because CUW is a conservative campus. According to the Ozaukee County Election Results, vote totals in Wards 11 and 12 in the city of Mequon (CUW District)show that, 63.33% (1126 votes) voted for Republican challenger Mitt Romney compared to only 35.7% Obama (635 votes)for Barrack Obama.

If the data given by the College Dems President is correct, then CUW is the only Conservative college in Wisconsin. As the President of College Republicans at CUW, we take great pride in being the Conservative choice for students in this great state of Wisconsin.

The College Republican group has emerged as a force on CUWs campus. It is a growing population within the student body that is exponentially increasing our membership. We are continually fighting for liberty minded individuals to coincide with our universities motto of Inspiration in Action. Jason Schneider is the current CR President, elected in 2012.
