Knitting is an activity that helps improve math skills, design skills, andphysical dexterity. Knitting is a calming activity that helps reduce stress.Working on a knitting project is a great way to unwind after a long day. Girls aswell as boys are equally capable of picking up the fundamentals. Knitting isgreat for teaching fine motor skills and concentration, plus, it allows children acreative outlet. The children will learn the fundamental stitches - casting on,knit, pearl and casting off.

A teacher will beavailable to answer questions about assignments. It also provides a quiet place for children toread during after school hours. Each day, children need to check in with EXTENDED DAY,and will be charged for their time as if enrolled in the Extended Day program. There is noadditional fee for the Homework Helper service on top of the Extended Day charges. Studentsneed not spend the entire session in Homework Helper. They can use the time to get started,or to complete homework assignments.
