Congratulations to African-Americanson Black History Month! Without a doubtthis heritage is also part of the culturalrichness of Latinos. In this edition, wehave a few editorials that elaborateon this subject. On the cover you canappreciate the image of a 1998 albumthat was launched by the musical rmPutumayo which presents a compilationof African and Afro-Cuban music. Oneof our contributors writes on her ownpoint of view regarding the legacy of  Afro-Americans and Afro-Latinos. Wewould like to know what you think! The publication is also enriched withlocal news like for example, informationon the red light camera program thatthe City has implemented. In our outstanding segment, Latino to Watch,we will be inspired with the story of Mr.Julio Vazquez, one of the most respectedLatino leaders in our community, Hewrote a book based on his experiencesas a Puerto Rican jibaro and he willhave a book signing on March 15!Without further ado, read the table of contents and go straight to your favoritesection, or simply open the newspaper and begin reading. We are certain thatyour reading time will be most benecial. If you decide to make the Brazilianrecipe of chicken drumsticks, remember to let us know how it came out!Until next time,
 Raquel
