The qualification is allocated to the NPC notthe individual athlete or team.Qualification slots will only be granted to anNPC if the athlete(s) attaining the qualifyingperformance is eligible to compete for therespective NPC at the Beijing 2008Paralympic Games.
MAXIMUM QUOTAALLOCATION PER NPC
An NPC can be allocated no more than one (1)qualification slot per event for a maximumquota allocation of three (3) qualification slotsper NPC. The maximum qualification slots tobe allocated per event is as follows:
fourteen (14) for the Single-PersonKeelboat;
twelve (12) for the Two-Person Keelboat;and
fourteen (14) for the Three-PersonKeelboat.In the case that qualification slots are notconfirmed for usage by 4 April 2008 the IFDSmay redistribute any unused qualification slotsamong the two other events.

ATHLETE ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for selection by an NPC, allathletes must have competed in an officialInternational Association for Disabled Sailing(IFDS) sanctioned competition between 1January 2005 and 6 July 2008.No athlete may change his/her nationality tosail for another country after 6 September2007.
MAXIMUM ENTRY PERNPC
An NPC that qualifies can enter a maximum ofone (1) boat per event and may select amaximum of
one (1) athlete for the Single-PersonKeelboat event;
two (2) athletes (of which one minimummust be a female athlete) for the Two-Person Keelboat event; and
three (3) athletes for the Three-PersonKeelboat event.

The six (6) top ranked NPCs qualify(one boat per NPC)In the case that a 2007 IFDSDisabled Sailing World Championshipsis not held or the required number ofraces are not completed (inaccordance with IFDS rules) then thequalification slots attributed to thecompetition will be retroactivelyredistributed to the 2006 IFDSDisabled Sailing World ChampionshipsAllocation method and allocatedthrough the results of thecorresponding event.In the case that both the 2006 and2007 IFDS Disabled Sailing WorldChampionships are not held or therequired number of races are notcompleted (in accordance with IFDSrules) then the qualification slotsattributed to these competitions willbe allocated based on a discretionarypolicy approved by the IPC.6 athletes(6 boats)12 athletes(6 boats)18 athletes(6 boats)
