WELCOME TO OUR 2008-2009 CATALOGUE
More recently Radio Parts has undergone some substantial changesfrom refocusing on our traditional products, rebuilding a more logical andaggressive pricing structure and centralising, so that the focus remains ontrade and wholesale and not retail. The first area of product has involved more global procurement, partnerships, distributorships and agencies with the top names in ourindustry. Here’s a snapshot:
Product
Radio Parts has distributorship status for many of our brands, such as: AiPhone, AKG, Amphenol, Imation, Kingray, Memorex, TDK, TOA, UnidenThe brands of Doss, Pro2 and Wintal also belong to Radio Parts. We wholesale and reflect the dealer pricing for the following:Electus Distribution, Garmin, GME, ICOM, Marantz, Panasonic, Pioneer,Sangean, Siemen’s, Vogel’sWe have also negotiated prices that are far below the trade for selecteditems, like Melbourne’s most popular antenna, the OMX400 and alsoMobileOne antennas, Yuasa batteries, Oricom phones and many more.
Pricing Rules
Pricing has continued to change and develop over the last few years. A setstructure has been adopted to make our trade pricing the most aggressivein the market. It also allows for a dealership structure, where our resellerscan take advantage of the best value generic products, as well as the abilityto consolidate the known and trusted names in the market. The pricing is no longer included in the catalogue, in part because priceschange too quickly! But here’s an overview:
RRP
We have a retail price, which is determined by the best advertised price inthe industry. We set the retail price by checking brochures, your feedback and reputable websites.
Trade 1, 2, 3
We have 3 advertised trade breaks. As is the case with the retail price, wecheck trade prices against our competitors and set our prices consistentlybelow the competitors for every trade break.
Trade 3 or “The End Advertised Price”
“Authorised dealers” receive our Trade 3 (or end advertised price) for anypurchase quantity and are often entitled to further discounts when certainorder quantities are achieved. Radio Parts doesn’t expect our dealers tostock thousands of products, so this allows them to buy in product oroperate with lower stock levels without the risk of tying up their cashflow, warehouse space or being stuck with stock. For the major brand name products, this Trade 3 (End Advertised Price)often represents the price that a dealer would get buying directly from thesource. For example, to buy one Uniden phone directly from Uniden costssay $50ex. This would be the end advertised price. A dealer gets the sameprice if they order 1 phone from Uniden or 1 phone from Radio Parts. SoRadio Parts offers the same deal, but we don’t have the minimum yearlypurchasing requirements of these brands. Radio Parts also offers telephoneaccessories, cabling and peripherals that are also at a dealer price.
Bulk price breaks
Bulk pricing is available only when a minimum order quantity is reached. These prices may be for a reseller, wholesaler, larger contract or tocompete against the large order quantities and lower prices of ourinternational competition. In the example above, Uniden may offer a 1up price break of $50ex and4up price break of $45ex for authorised resellers. Our bulk price will reflecttheir price ($45ex) and quantity requirements (4 units) for their telephones. We believe that our system is enticing for trade and resellers alike, but ifyou have questions or a special requirement, please let a member of oursales force know!
Location
We are now operating from a central location, which means that our stock levels have never been more accurate and available. For the first time, despite having an industry leading stock turn, we believe that we will alsohave less products out of stock than any of the majors. With thousands ofparcels also leaving from one central location, we have negotiated a metroMelbourne freight deal that will give accounts and trade card holders freefreight for orders over $100 ex. Refer to www.radioparts.com.au for ourfree freight zone list. One central location has also meant the reintroduction of Melbourne salesrepresentatives. If you are based in or around Melbourne, then there arenow 3 sales representatives at your disposal!Michael SwannSales Manager
