Description

Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics has conducted this Literacy Assessment Survey in 2008 to ascertain test0based literacy rate in bangladesh. The adult literacy rate of Bangladesh is found to be 48.8 percent through this test-based literacy assessment. The previous literacy rates were quoted to be as high as 65%, which actually inclused 11+ age group population and 'self-declaration' method was used. This survey gives better estimate that all of the previous surveys.
