Monday Night Card Workshop
 A couple months back I did a card
 workshop using My Stickease™.
Everyone really enjoyed the ease of the night and asked me to do itagain with a new paper packet and
Stickease™.
 We will be using the supplies fromthe Unforgettablepaper packetI have enough sup-plies to have 14 peo-ple attend the work-shop. This is information that has been going around in email.Having two family membersthat have suffered from StrokesI thought I would pass this in-formation on.If everyone can remembersomething this simple, we couldsave some family and friends.Please read:STROKE IDENTIFICATION: During a BBQ, woman stumbledand took a little fall - she as-sured everyone that she wasfine (they offered to call para-medics) .she said she had justtripped over a brick because of her new shoes.They got her cleaned up and gother a new plate of food. Whileshe appeared a bit shaken up,Ingrid went about enjoying her-self the rest of the eveningIngrid's husband called latertelling everyone that his wifehad been taken to the hospital -(at 6:00 pm Ingrid passedaway.) She had suffered a strokeat the BBQ. Had they knownhow to identify the signs of astroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die.they end up in a helpless, hope-less condition instead.
 
It only takes a minute to readthis...  A neurologist says that if he canget to a stroke victim within 3hours he can totally reverse theeffects of a stroke...totally. Hesaid the trick was getting astroke recognized, diagnosed,and then getting the patientmedically cared for within 3hours, which is tough.RECOGNIZING A STROKE Thank God for the sense to re-member the '3' steps, STR .Read and Learn!Sometimes symptoms of astroke are difficult to identify.Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. Thestroke victim may suffer severe
 
 brain damage when peoplenearby fail to recognize thesymptoms of a stroke.Now doctors say a bystandercan recognize a stroke by askingthree simple questions:S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
 
T *Ask the person to TALK andSPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE(Coherently)(i.e. It is sunny out today)
 
R *Ask him or her to RAISEBOTH ARMS. If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, callemergency numberimmedi-atelyand describe the symptomsto the dispatcher.New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your TongueNOTE: Another 'sign' of a strokeis this: Ask the person to 'stick'out his tongue.. If the tongue is'crooked', if it goes to one sideor the other, that is also an indi-cation of a stroke.

The Brewerton Public Library is offering a free valentine workshop for your chil-dren on Saturday February 7
th
from 11:00

12:30. The children will create 24
3‖x3‖ cards for their classmates (see samples below).
