Description

The kerala power system consists of 24 hydel stations including 2 captive power plants, thermal stations , 3 IPPs, wind energy station, 5 major inert-state transmission lines, one 400 kv substation and 13 220 kv substations with inter connecting grid the main grid is in 220 kv system. the energy requirement for the year is estimated to be about 13000MUout of this about 6200MU is expected from hydel sources ,3500MU from central generating stations,2500MU from the IPPs and the balance from the remaining sources.
