Abstract

The purposes of this research were to find analysis of readiness of the Catholic schools in Thailand in the ASEAN community. The samples were 165 basic education Catholic schools in Thailand. The respondents were administrators, assistant administrators and teachers, 686 respondents in total. The research instrument was a questionnaire on the readiness of the catholic school in Thailand in the ASEAN community. The statistics applied in data analysis were frequency (f), percentage (%), mean ( X ), standard deviation (S.D.) and Coefficient of variation (C.V.). The findings revealed as follows: 1. The Catholic schools are ready to enter the ASEAN Community as a whole showed that the average level of 69.24 percentages. 2. The readiness of the standards and strategies to enter the ASEAN Community. 2.1 The schools are ready as standard with a high level overview of the 73.31 percentages average. When considering of the four standards and the standards found in the high level 2 standard and 2 were moderate percentages. We can order of descending percentages as follows. 1. Standard four is the education Catholic identity at 82.63 percentages. 2. Standard 3 is the quality of social learning at 74.36 percentages. 3. Standard 2 is the quality education at 69.86 percentages. 4. Standard 1 is the quality of the students at 66.40 percentages. 2.2 The schools are ready as strategies with a moderate level overview of the 65.16 percentages average. When considering of the four strategies and the strategies found in the high level 1 strategy and 3 were moderate percentage. We can order of descending percentage as follows.

1. Strategy 2 is promoted and developed their language skills and attitudes in the ASEAN community for education administrators teachers and education at 73.97 percentages. 2. Strategy 1 is the curriculum development towards ASEAN at 67.15 percentages. 3. Strategy 4 is the promotion and development of media and technology at 63.15 percentages. 4.
