Assignment specification: This coursework assignment is based on the SMARTS case study, available in WebLearn. You have the role of FROSTIE and SCIMITAR project manager, responsible for planning the installation and support of the FROSTIE and SCIMITAR systems. There are two stages: preliminary plan (assignment 1) final plan (assignment 2) In this coursework assignment (1), a report is required by the Steering Committee, entitled "FROSTIE and SCIMITAR: Preliminary Installation and Support Plan". This report is individual work and must be submitted as specified and by the deadline. The report must be presented in 12pt font (Times New Roman/Arial) and must be no more than 3 pages in length. Diagrams and/or tables may be used if appropriate, but these must be within the page limit specified. There should be no title page, table of contents or appendices for this report. Please note the following:
Specific guidance on report content and structure is provided below. Do not provide separate title or contents pages for this report; the report title should be clearly visible at the top of the first page. Your name and student ID must appear on every page of the report, e.g. in the page header or footer. All section headings and sub-headings specified below must appear in the report. The questions asked under each sub-heading below provide guidance in developing the appropriate content for each section. Interpret the questions and apply them to the case study in order to develop suitable answers. The questions themselves should not appear in the report, nor should there be any additional sections. A references section is not required for this preliminary report.
