elcome to the firstissue of the Finishing TalkNewsletter. At the end of 2007, we announced ouracquisition of the previouslylabeled Southern Metal Fin-ishing Newsletter. The com-pany hopes to maintain thededicated readership fromSouthern Metal Finishing,and expand the publicationto reach Finishers nationallyand internationally.For those of you who havenot yet visited the FinishingTalk Forums online, here is alittle background informa-tion. The site was created asan experiment that began inApril 2006 with the conceptof launching an interactiveMetal Finishing communityand forum. In July 2006, weofficially launched the“Finishing Talk” bulletin board. This bulletin board isnow an online forum that isknown throughout theworld as a place dedicatedto the dissemination of in-formation, and all thingsMetal Finishing.
