Chris reached out to dormant cities about potentially sponsoring rooms in Denver for potential leaders in these cities There is no substitute for face-to-face time with potential leaders Dallas: Running through the details with them concerning how they're able to use the MillerCoors funds to start a league Cost of the rooms would be a bit over $500 a piece. This could be a good use of the MillerCoors monies Shane: Attempting to fire up a rah-rah committee that is willing to fly to towns to help gin up some action in select cities Shane: We need to give a shout-out to these new city leaders at the Closing Ceremonies if they're able to make it Shane and Jared: We should introduce Brenda Gardner, who just moved to Seattle from Denver, with Rich 7.51: Gay Bowl XII Update - Player Registration and Eligibility (Thurman) 14 players with out-of-town address 5 require releases, and Thurman is making sure they are in place Remember to bring appropriate identification NGFFL will have the rosters in hard copy at the fields; for privacy purposes, requests for rosters from cities or individuals will be denied We want to take whatever steps necessary to avoid roster controversies during the tournament 8.11: Inclement Weather (Shane) Weve reserved an indoor facility that can accommodate two smaller fields from noon on Saturday through Sunday The cost is $2,800, but we're not on the hook until someone else wants it - then we'd have to make a judgment call as to reserving it or letting it go It is very unlikely that we'll need it - the forecast looks good at the moment, but it's a good security blanket to have in our back pocket 8.23: Bracket Play (Thurman) Wild Card games are optional. We'll have to confirm desire to play in the Wild Card games following pool play Captains will be asked if they want to opt into the Wild Card games during the Captains meeting. Any changes would need to be announce before noon on Saturday We don't know what the seeding structure will be next year; we strongly encourage all teams to try to win all of their games 8.35: Denver Gay Bowl Update (Joe) Joe: Do we have agendas for the captains and referees meetings? Thurman: Yes Shane: Awards for 3rd place? No - just for 1st and 2nd Other awards: Men's A and B MVPs; Men's and Women's Spirit Awards
