The holidays are a time for sharing with loved ones. Another thing that is often synonymous with the holidays
is…engagements! The holidays are the perfect time to pop the question, and isn’t the first thing people always ask
you: when is the wedding? And next: where is the reception?First thing to focus on after you have shared the exciting news with all of your loved ones is to figure out anapproximate number of how many people will be invited. Getting a feel for the guest count will help you decideon the perfect venue. After that, the next big decisions to make are photographer, entertainment (band or DJ,ceremony musicians), florist, cake, ceremony location and whether you would like to have a day of coordinator.Many of these vendors need to be selected quickly because most cannot book more than one wedding on a day.Once you have selected your venue, the next item to begin discussing is food options. Buffet or plated?Financially they can be about the same. The price can become higher with more choices and premium selectionand can also be modified to bring the price to your budget. Passed appetizers are a great addition to anyreception, as they act as a satisfier until it is dinner time. No one can say no to a little snack while waiting fordinner!Going along with food of course is the bar. There are many ways that the bar can be modified to keep within yourbudget. From having a limited selection of beer and wine, to a full premium bar with wine service during dinnerthere are many options and choices. Another decision to keep in mind when deciding on food and beveragechoices, are the little details like linen color, timeline of the night and set up of the space.There are many fine details that go into a wedding that can easily b
