Defensive Line: DE - Line up inside shade of TE's. Shoot "C" gap. DT - Line up on G and shoot the "B" gap to allow ILB's to blitz "A" gap. preferred on strong side. Zone coverage on in right middle of field, 5-8 yards deep to cover TE pro-pass. LILB - Line up behind DT's and has "B" gap responsibility. Zone coverage on the left middle of field, 5-8 yards deep to cover TE pro-pass.
Defensive Backfield: DB - Line up on farthest outside WR and will help OLB with outside containment for run support. Zone coverage on outside medium\deep zone. FS - Line up 8-12 yards off line of scrimage over TE. Will need to creep up on line of scrimage to time the snap so he is at full speed as ball is snapped. Blitz through right "A" gap. If FS is 4-5 yards off the ball when play has started, call blitz off and is responsible for "A" gap and can roam on pass. SS - Line up 7-10 yards off line of scrimage over TE.
