Jeremy Bullmore was born in1929. His first job, in 1954,was as a trainee copywriter withJ Walter Thompson in Londonand he stayed with that agencyuntil his retirement in 1987.He became successivelycopywriter, writer/producer,creative group head and headof television; then from 1964to 1975, head of the creativedepartment and from 1976 to1987, chairman, London. From1981 to 1987, he was chairmanof the Advertising Association.Since 1988, Jeremy Bullmorehas been a non-executivedirector of the Guardian MediaGroup plc and WPP Group plcand is immediate past Presidentof the National AdvertisingBenevolent Society (NABS).He is a weekly columnist for
