Best Practices for photoprinting
You may find that when you are trying to print photos(either using the photo print wizard or photos in adocument) that it takes
 forever 
for them to print out.This is generally because photos from a digital camera are usually of a very highresolution by default and will range from 1mb to 3mb per photo, sometimes more. Now when you are trying to print a set of say 5 photos or more (compared to your average text document that is often less than 1mb) this quickly adds up and takes a lot of time for the printer to process. You won’t reap any benefits of having photos of thatquality & resolution unless you are planning to print either very big pictures (bigger thanA4) or having them printed out on photo paper at a camera/photo store.Theres a couple of ways you can reduce your photo’s size and quality without makingsignificant image quality reductions.
Method 1
NOTE:
Changing the size of the photo in a document by grabbing the side/corner of the photo and shrinking it down will not reduce the file size of the image and therefore whilstappearing smaller will still be the same amount of data for the printer to process.If your photos are already in a Microsoft office document, there is an inbuilt feature toreduce the size of imported images.Right click on any photo in your document and select ‘Format Picture’ from the rightclick menu as below. On the box that appears, click the ‘Picture’ tab and then the‘Compress’ button.This window now gives you the option to compress either a single photo or all photos inyour current document.
