Laporan Keberlanjutan 2010 merupakan laporan perdana PTPN XIII, yang berisi pertanggungjawaban Perseroan atas kegiatan tanggung jawab sosial dan kinerja kegiatan lingkungan. Laporan ini merupakan bentuk komitmen PTPN XIII untuk memberikan nilai tambah bagi semua pemangku kepentingan, dalam rangka mewujudkan pertumbuhan bisnis yang berkelanjutan untuk mencapai keberhasilan di bidang ekonomi, lingkungan dan sosial. Muara yang ingin dicapai adalah masyarakat dan PTPN XII mampu membentuk komunitas yang ideal, yang saling membutuhkan, melengkapi dan saling membantu, dan menghormati keberadaan masing-masing pihak sehingga akan menumbuhkan sinergi diantara keduanya. The report is also a realization of PTPN XIII commitment to add values for interest holders to realize the sustainable business development to achieve economic, environmental and social successes. In implementing the tasks, the CSR Deputy is assisted by 2 (two) personnel who are competent in the fields of Social and Environmental Responsibility and Partnership and Environmental Development Program. The company always conducts an evaluation to measure the achievement of CSR programs both qualitatively and quantitatively. The work performance of Director of Human Resources and General Affairs and that of other directors are periodically evaluated by Board of Commissioners in monthly, quarterly Management Report and Annual Report. The Annual Report Evaluation for the Shareholders is carried out in the General Meeting of Shareholders which also includes the Report on the Social and Environmental Responsibility Program and fund management of Partnership and Environmental Development Program. Starting from 2010, PTPN XIII has made Sustainability Report which is separated from Annual Report (4.9).

Para Pemangku Kepentingan yang terhormat, Pertama-tama, Dewan Komisaris menyampaikan penghargaan kepada PTPN XIII atas terbitnya Laporan Keberlanjutan perdana, yang sistem pelaporannya menggunakan standar internasional, yaitu Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3. Pertumbuhan berkelanjutan yang bertanggung jawab sudah semestinya menjadi keharusan bagi PTPN XIII yang akuntabilitas telah dipertanggungjawabkan melalui Laporan ini.
The honorable stakeholders, First of all, the Board of Commissioners would like to express the highest appreciation to PTPN XIII for the publication of the first Sustainability Report, which has already used the international standard, namely Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3, in its reporting system. It is already the responsibility of PTPN XIII to support the responsibly sustainable growth which is already accounted in this report.
Di tengah terpaan kampanye hitam yang ditujukan kepada pelaku industri kelapa sawit, terdapat fakta bahwa perkebunan kelapa sawit selama ini menjadi salah satu primadona bagi pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional. Sebanyak 4 juta orang tenaga kerja terserap di industri ini, demikian pula sebanyak 1,9 juta petani bermatapencaharian sebagai petani sawit. Perkebunan kelapa sawit juga menjadi pendorong pengembangan ekonomi di pedesaan serta salah satu kunci dalam pengentasan kemiskinan. Dengan terus melibatkan Pemangku Kepentingan dalam setiap langkah gerak Perseroan, maka PTPN XIII telah melaksanakan misinya dalam rangka mendinamisasikan perekonomian regional dan nasional, mengembangkan dan memberdayakan potensi masyarakat berbasis kemitraan serta mengembangkan sistem perkebunan yang ramah lingkungan.
In the middle of the black campaign toward the oil palm industry actors, there is evidence that the oil palm plantation is one of the prima donnas for the national economic growth. There are 4 (four) million people becoming the workforce in this industry. In addition, 1.9 million farmers work in the oil palm plantation that is also the booster for the economic growth in the rural areas and one of the means to erase poverty at the same time.
By continuously involving the stakeholders in each step taken by the company, PTPN XIII has implemented its mission to create dynamic regional and national economic conditions, to develop and empower the community potentials on the partnership basis, and to develop the environment-friendly plantation system.

Oleh sebab itu, sebagai Agent of Development, PTPN XIII dituntut memiliki komitmen untuk mengembangkan lingkungan secara berkelanjutan. Dewan Komisaris akan selalu memastikan bahwa PTPN XIII juga memiliki konsistensi dalam melaksanakan empat langkah gerak, yaitu Pro Growth, Pro Poor, Pro Job dan Pro Environment. Pengembangkan perkebunan pola Inti Plasma dengan perbandingan 80 : 20 atau 70 : 30, yang dilaksanakan PTPN XIII selama ini, telah menciptakan sinergi yang saling menguntungkan antara Perusahaan dengan Petani Plasma. Menjadi harapan kita semua bahwa simbiose mutualisme yang telah terbentuk akan semakin berkembang dan menjadikan PTPN XIII sebagai pelopor terdepan dalam membangkitkan sinergi antara BUMN Perkebunan dan Petani Perkebunan. Partisipasi PTPN XIII dalam Program Kemitraan dan Bina Lingkungan melalui alokasi dana sebesar 4% dari laba perusahaan selayaknya terus ditingkatkan. Pemberian pinjaman dengan bunga lunak dan pelatihan teknis, manajemen/kewirausahaan serta bantuan di bidang pemasaran produk diharapkan akan menjadikan UKM mitra binaan semakin mandiri, tangguh dan berkembang.
Therefore, as an Agent of Development, PTPN XIII is required to have a commitment to develop the environment sustainably. BOC will make sure that PTPN XIII also has consistency in implementing four-step actions, namely Pro Growth, Pro Poor, Pro Job, and Pro Environment.
The development of nucleus plasma patterned plantation with the composition 80:20 or 70:30, which is conducted by PTPN XIII during this time, has created the mutual benefiting synergy between the company and the plasma farmers. We expect that the mutualism symbiosis already created will keep developing and make PTPN XIII a pioneer in arousing the synergy between the plantation of State Owned Enterprises and the plantation farmers.
The PTPN XIII participation in the Partnership and Environmental Development Program through the funding allocation as much as 4% of the companys profit shall be continuously improved. The loan with low interest and technical trainings, management/entrepreneurship and assistance in product marketing are expected to enable the UKM (Small and Medium Enterprise) as fostering partners to be more independent, strong, and developing.

Selain program kemitraan, perlu ditingkatkan pula peran PTPN XIII dalam program Bina Lingkungan, yaitu berupa bantuan untuk bencana alam, pendidikan/pelatihan, peningkatan kesehatan, pembangunan prasarana & sarana umum, sarana ibadah, pelestarian alam, dan BUMN peduli. Dengan demikian kualitas hidup masyarakat sekitar wilayah kerja Perusahaan akan semakin meningkat dan masyarakat dapat dengan sendirinya keluar dari keterbelakangan sosial. Dalam upaya meminimalkan citra negatif sekaligus membangun citra positif perkebunan, Dewan Komisaris mendorong PTPN XIII untuk memperhatikan dan berupaya memenuhi syarat-syarat pelestarian lingkungan dan melakukan praktik perkebunan yang ramah lingkungan dengan menyeimbangkan dimensi ekonomi, sosial dan lingkungan. Keterpaduan kepentingan Perusahaan, konsumen, pemerintah, dan Pemangku Kepentingan lainnya dan konsistensi semua pihak yang terlibat akan sangat mempengaruhi keberlanjutan Perusahaan yang bertanggung jawab.
Beside the partnership program, the role of PTPN XIII in environmental development program is also needed to enhance, such as in natural disaster aid program, education/training on the health improvement program, the establishment of worship infrastructures and facilities, nature conservation, and BUMN (State Owned Enterprise) Care. Hence, the quality of life of the surrounding community around the work area of the company will get improved and the community can automatically free themselves from the social drawback. In the effort of minimizing the negative image and at the same time building the positive image of the plantation, the BOC pushes PTPN XIII to concern for and attempt to fulfill the environment conservation conditions and to apply pro-environment plantation practices by keeping the economic, social and environmental dimensions in balance. The integration of the company, consumer, government and other stakeholders interests, and the consistency of all involved parties will influence the sustainability of responsible corporation.

Para Pemangku Kepentingan yang terhormat, rhormat, Pertama-tama, Direksi memanjatkan rasa syukur yang tak terhingga kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, atas terbitnya Laporan Keberlanjutan PTPN XIII rbitnya untuk yang pertama kali. Laporan Keberlanjutan ini merupakan salah satu berlanjutan wujud komitmen PTPN XIII atas akuntabilitas terhadap Pemangku Kepentingan tabilitas terkait upaya Perseroan dalam memenuhi keseimbangan kinerja perusahaan enuhi di bidang ekonomi dengan pencapaian kinerja di bidang lingkungan dan an kinerja di bidang sosial. Dalam pembuatan laporan ini, Perusahaan mengacu uatan pada ketentuan sistem pelaporan berstandar internasional, rstandar yaitu Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3.
Para Pemangku Kepentingan yang terhormat, First of all, the Board of Directors would like to express its deepest gratitude to the One and Only God press for the issuance of the first Sustainability Report of PTPN XIII. This Sustainability Report is one of the commitments of PTPN XIII to its accountability to Shareholders related to the efforts of the Company in balancing the corporate performance in economic sector and performance achievement in environmental c sector and performance in social sector. In preparing this report, the Company refers to the stipulation in ing international standard reporting system, namely the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) G3.
Salah satu Kebijakan Strategis PTPN XIII yang pro lingkungan adalah Keberpihakan Kepada Lingkungan, yang juga tertuang di dalam misi PTPN XIII, yaitu Mengembangkan Sistem Perkebunan Yang Ramah Lingkungan. PTPN XIII menyadari bahwa lingkungan sangat berpengaruh langsung kepada keberlanjutan usaha Perusahaan. Oleh sebab itu, sebagai Agent of Development, PTPN XIII memiliki komitmen untuk mengembangkan lingkungan melalui empat langkah gerak, yaitu Pro Growth, Pro Poor, Pro Job dan Pro Environment. Dalam Pro Growth, perkembangan dan pertumbuhan nilai dividen, pajak dan leverage supporting perusahaan yang diserap Negara diharapkan dapat berimbas balik terhadap percepatan pertumbuhan pembangunan ekonomi
One of the Strategic Policies of PTPN XIII which supports the environment is Pro Environmental which is also stated in the mission of PTPN XIII, namely Developing an Environmentally Friendly Plantation System. PTPN XIII realizes that the environment directly affects the sustainability of the Companys business. Therefore, as the Agent of Development, PTPN XIII is committed to develop the environment through four steps, namely Pro Growth, Pro Poor, Pro Job and Pro Environment.
In the Pro Growth, the development and the growth of dividend, taxes, and leverage supporting of the company received by the State is expected to affect the acceleration of economic development both in the national level and

baik di tingkat nasional maupun lokal/regional. Selain itu, pertumbuhan Capital Expenditure PTPN XIII sejalan dengan pembangunan beberapa proyek pengembangan, diharapkan juga akan mengungkit pertumbuhan perekonomian setempat melalui penyediaan industri jasa, pemasok lokal dan usaha lainnya. Dalam Pro Poor, PTPN XIII tetap memfokuskan pada pemenuhan keseimbangan lokal yang telah menjadi tanggung jawab sosial perusahaan. Selain mengembangkan perkebunan pola Inti Plasma dengan perbandingan 80 : 20 atau 70 : 30, PTPN XIII mengalokasikan 4% dari laba perusahaan untuk kegiatan Program Kemitraan dan Bina Lingkungan, dengan komposisi masing-masing 2%. Dalam Pro Job, PTPN XIII mampu menyerap 13.799 orang karyawan dan bermitra dengan 43.715 KK Petani. Melalui hubungan simbiosis mutualisme tersebut, diharapkan bukan saja dapat mengurangi tingkat kemiskinan masyarakat dengan program kemitraan dan pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat, namun masyarakat dapat dengan sendirinya keluar dari keterbelakangan sosial. Bentuk kemitraan yang telah dikembangkan PTPN XIII diantaranya berupa pemberian pinjaman dengan bunga lunak (6%) kepada masyarakat yang memiliki usaha (UKM). Perusahaan juga melakukan pembinaan kepada mitra binaan berupa pelatihan teknis, manajemen/kewirausahaan serta memberikan bantuan di bidang pemasaran produk yang dihasilkan mitra binaan, seperti mengikutsertakan dalam pameran dan promosi. Pro Environment diwujudkan dalam program Bina Lingkungan yang merupakan program pemberdayaan kondisi sosial masyarakat oleh BUMN melalui pemanfaatan dana dari bagian laba BUMN. Bentuk program Bina Lingkungan difokuskan kepada bantuan untuk bencana alam, pendidikan/pelatihan, peningkatan kesehatan, pembangunan prasarana & sarana umum, sarana ibadah, pelestarian alam, dan BUMN peduli. Eksistensi perkebunan menciptakan multiplier effect yang positif bagi pekembangan daerah, baik dari ekonomi, informasi, pendidikan dan budaya daerah tersebut. PTPN XIII turut mengembangkan dan memberdayakan potensi masyarakat di sekitar unit bisnisnya. Hasil studi mengungkapkan bahwa industri kelapa sawit sangat berperan dalam upaya mengentaskan kemiskinan. Sementara itu, ADB melaporkan bahwa angka kemiskinan di sekitar perkebunan kelapa sawit berada di bawah 5% dari total

Through that mutualistic symbiosis, it is expected that not only the rate of poverty can be decreased through the partnership and community economic empowerment program, but also the community can help themselves to get out of social retardation. The type of partnership which has been developed by PTPN XIII among other is giving soft loan (6% of interest) to Small and Medium Enterprises. The Company also coaches its supervised partners by holding technical, managerial/entrepreneurship training and helping them in marketing their products by involving them in an exhibition and promotion.
Pro Environment is shown in the Environmental Development program. It is a community social empowerment program held by SOE using fund from SOE profit. The Environmental Development program is focused on aid for natural disaster, education / training, health improvement, constructing public infrastructures & facilities, house of religious worship, natural preservation, and SOE care.
The existence of plantation creates positive multiplier effects for the regional development, covering the economic sector, information, education and local culture. PTPN XIII is also involved in developing and empowering the potential of the community residing around its business unit. The result of the study showed that oil palm industry plays an important role in the efforts of poverty alleviation. Meanwhile, ADB reported that the poverty rate around the oil palm plantation is below 5% of the total

penduduk, jauh di bawah angka kemiskinan nasional yang mencapai sekitar 16%. Pemberdayaan masyarakat sekitar kebun atau pabrik menjadi komitmen Perusahaan. Hal ini tercermin dari komposisi jumlah Karyawan lokal dan non lokal. Dari 14.198 Karyawan, jumlah Karyawan yang berasal dari putera daerah (lokal) adalah sebanyak 10.393 (73.2%) sedangkan 3.805 (26.8%) Karyawan adalah dari berbagai etnis di Indonesia. Dari 486 Karyawan golongan III-IV (Karyawan Pimpinan) sebanyak 168 Karyawan (34%) adalah putera daerah. Pada pengembangan PMS baru yang berlokasi di Kembayan dan Pelaihari yang dilaksanakan mulai tahun 2009, PTPN XIII telah melibatkan masyarakat sekitar sejak awal pembangunan pabrik. Terkait kampanye hitam yang dilancarkan Negara maju maupun LSM internasional terhadap industri kelapa sawit, PTPN XIII menyambut positif upaya Pemerintah yang akan memberlakukan audit dan sertifikasi ISPO (Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil) terhadap seluruh perkebunan kelapa sawit di Indonesia. Parameter yang terdapat dalam ketentuan ISPO antara lain meliputi perizinan, manajemen perkebunan, penerapan pedoman teknik budidaya dan pengelolaan kelapa sawit, pengelolaan dan pemantauan lingkungan, tanggung jawab terhadap pekerja, tanggung jawab sosial, pemberdayaan ekonomi masyarakat, dan peningkatan usaha secara berkelanjutan. Pada uji coba penerapan ISPO terhadap 20 perusahaan yang berlangsung akhir Februari hingga awal Maret 2011, kebun Parindu PTPN XIII termasuk kategori kebun kelas I (baik sekali). PTPN XIII berharap bahwa ke depan Perusahaan akan tumbuh menjadi kekuatan ekonomi yang semakin besar sehingga mampu mengungkit perekonomian regional ke arah yang lebih baik dengan tetap menyeimbangkan dimensi sosial dan dimensi lingkungan. It is illustrated from the composition of local and non-local employees. The parameters in the ISPO among others consist of permit, plantation management, the implementation of oil palm management and cultivation techniques, responsibility to laborers, social responsibility, community economic empowerment, and sustainable business development. When testing the implementation of ISPO to 20 companies carried out at the end of February to the beginning of March 2011, Parindu Estate of PTPN XIII was categorized as class I estate (very good).

Pada tahun 2009, PTPN XIII telah mampu memproduksi biodiesel dengan kapasitas 6.000 liter per hari, yang digunakan untuk kepentingan sendiri. Di masa depan, tidak tertutup kemungkinan bagi PTPN XIII untuk menjual biodiesel ke luar guna memenuhi kebutuhan bahan bakar yang lebih ramah lingkungan. (2.2)

29 Desember 2010: Penyaluran kredit perkebunan kelapa sawit oleh Bank Mandiri kepada koperasi perkebunan kelapa sawit yang menjadi mitra binaan PT Perkebunan Nusantara XIII mencapai Rp 313,41 milyar untuk luasan lahan 12.761 hektar. Kinerja Sosial PTPN XIII diwujudkan dalam Program Kemitraan dan Bina Lingkungan. Bentuk kemitraan yang telah dikembangkan PTPN XIII diantaranya berupa pemberian pinjaman dengan bunga lunak (6%) kepada masyarakat yang memiliki usaha (UKM). Perusahaan juga melakukan pembinaan kepada mitra binaan berupa pelatihan teknis, manajemen/kewirausahaan serta memberikan bantuan di bidang pemasaran produk yang dihasilkan mitra binaan. Program bina lingkungan merupakan program pemberdayaan kondisi sosial masyarakat melalui bantuan untuk bencana alam, pendidikan/pelatihan, peningkatan kesehatan, pembangunan prasarana & sarana umum, sarana ibadah, pelestarian alam, dan BUMN peduli. Di tahun 2010, PTPN XIII telah menyalurkan dana sebesar Rp 4.878.500.000 untuk program kemitraan, dan Rp 2.703.237.627 untuk program buna lingkungan.
Social Performance
The social performance of PTPN XIII is shown in the Part nership and Environmental Development Program. The partnership which has been developed by PTPN XIII was by giving soft loan (6% of interest) to Small and Medium Enterprises. The Company also gave coaching to supervised partners in the form of technical training, managerial/ entrepreneurship training and helping them to market their products. The environmental development program is a program to empower the community social condition through aid for natural disaster, education/ training, health improvement, the construction of public facilities & infrastructures, house of religious worship, natural preservation, and SOE care. In 2010, PTPN XIII has distributed a total of IDR 4,878,500,000 for the partnership program and IDR 2,703,237,627 for the environmental development program.

Dalam menerapkan GCG, PTPN XIII tetap mengacu kepada aturan hukum, visi dan misi perusahaan serta internal/eksternal best practise. PT Perkebunan Nusantara XIII (Persero) is a BUMN (government-owned) estates that is always commmitted to implement Good Governance (GCG) principles in running its business according the regulations, best practise, and ethic value. Managements commitment to observe GCG principles is based on the Decree of State Minister for State Owned Enterprises No. KEP-117/M-MBU/2002 on 1 August 2002 regarding Implementation of GCG in BUMN. In implementing GCG, PTPN XIII refer to laws, companys vision, mission and internal/external best practice. According to those provisions, some instruments to implement GCG have been established. The Company also updated the policies and guidelines related to the implementation of GCG, among others: Code of Business Ethics and Work Ethics (PEBK) prevailing as code of conduct, Board Manual for Directors and Commissioners, Good of Corporate Governance Manual, Guidelines of Work, and the GCG Policy.

Dewan Komisaris
Tugas pokok dewan komisaris secara umum adalah memberikan persetujuan atas transaksi yang menjadi kewenangannya, melakukan pengawasan umum serta memberikan nasihat kepada Direksi atas pelaksanaan tugas operasionalnya. Jumlah Komisaris sebanyak lima orang yang terdiri dari berbagai unsur di luar perusahaan. (4.3) Untuk meningkatkan kompetensi berkaitan dengan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya, PTPN XIII memfasilitasi berbagai program pelatihan, seminar, workshop, konferensi kepada anggota Dewan Komisaris. Board of Commissioners
The main duty of the Board of Commissioners in general is to give approval upon the transactions that fall under their authority, to conduct general monitoring as well as to give advice to the Directors regarding their task operation. The number of Commissioners should be five people consisting of various elements outside the company. (4.3)

Direksi
Tugas dan fungsi utama Direksi perseroan secara menyeluruh adalah mengupayakan pencapaian hasil sesuai target RKAP, melaksanakan tanggung jawab sosial, memperhatikan berbagai kepentingan serta mendorong penerapan prinsip-prinsip GCG secara konsisten. Kedudukan masingmasing Direksi termasuk Direktur Utama adalah setara, Direksi bertugas dan bertanggung jawab secara kolegial. Tugas Direktur Utama sebagai primus inter pares adalah mengkoordinasikan kegiatan Direksi. Untuk meningkatkan kompetensi berkaitan dengan tugas dan tanggung jawabnya, PTPN XIII memfasilitasi berbagai program pelatihan, seminar, workshop, konferensi kepada anggota Direksi. (4.7)
Board of Directors
The main duties and functions of the Board of Directors are to fully do all the efforts to achieve the targets of Action Plan and Budget, implement social responsibility, pay attention to various interests and promote the implementation of GCG principles consistently. The position of each of the Directors including the President Director are equal, the Board of Directors is responsible collegially. The President Director duties as primus inter pares is to coordinate the activities of the Board of Directors. To enhance professionalism of the Board of Directors in relation to their duites and responsibilities, PTPN XIII facililties various training, seminars, workshop, conferences. (4.7)
The Audit Committee is to evaluate the implementation, activities, and auditing results duly carried out by both the internal control unit and external auditors. They are to provide recommendations on improving management control system and its implementation to ensure availability of satisfactory reviewing procedures against all information released by the BUMN, to identify matters requiring attention from the Board of Directors and Supervisors, and also on the other duties of The Board Directors and Supervisors.

Board of Directors PTPN XIII have established Investment Committee based on Board of Director Decree number 13.09/KPTS/010/2010 on 15 March 2010. Risk Management Committee This committee is established by the Board of Directors and consists of Division Directors and led by Planning and Development Director and is responsible to the President Director.
In 2010, there were 4.691 mandays implemented out of PKPT target of 4.691 mandays (100%) in 38 working units. Risk Based Audit conducted against management control level, rapid environment changes, sensitive technical problems in the field, high spending, and frequent and repeated results in all working units. Perusahaan membentuk Unit Manajemen Risiko tersentralisasi yang melapor secara langsung kepada Komite Manajemen Risiko. Komite ini bertanggung jawab menetapkan kebijakan umum bagi seluruh aktivitas pengambilan risiko. Fungsi dan peran unit manajemen risiko adalah melaksanakan identifikasi, pengukuran, pemetaan, menyusun mitigasi serta pelaporan pelaksanaan manajemen risiko kepada Komite Manajemen Resiko. Unit Manajemen Risiko dipimpin oleh Kepala Bagian SPI/Kepala Unit Manajemen Risiko, yang bertanggungjawab mengawasi seluruh aspek risiko di setiap lini organisasi. (4.11)
Company establishes centralized Risk Management Unit reporting directly to the Risk Management Committee. This committee is responsible to determine general policies for all risk taking activities. The functions and roles of risk management unit are to identify, measure, map and prepare mitigation and report on risk management implementation to the Risk Management Committee. Etika Kerja mengatur individu dalam perusahaan bersikap, berperilaku, berinteraksi dan melakukan proses kerja dengan pihak-pihak di dalam dan di luar perusahaan dalam membangun budaya kerja dan budaya perusahaan. (4.6, 4.11) Hal-hal yang dilarang Perusahaan yang termasuk pelanggaran berat antara lain meliputi menerima hadiah atau pemberian dalam bentuk apapun, menyalahgunakan wewenang dan jabatannya untuk kepentingan pribadi maupun golongan, melalaikan pelaksanaan tugas, pekerjaan yang seharusnya dilaksanakan sehingga menimbulkan kerugian bagi perusahaan, melakukan tindak kejahatan antara lain mencuri dan atau menggelapkan aset perusahaan, melakukan penipuan kepada atasan, bawahan maupun kepada sesama rekan kerja, memperdagangkan barang perusahaan baik di dalam maupun di luar lingkungan perusahaan. Prohibition and Severe Violations are receiving gifts and gratification in any form, abuse the authority and power for personal or groups interest, ignoring duties so that it causes loss to the company, committing crime like theft, embezzling companys asset, deceiving supervisors, subordinates, or working partners, selling companys asset within or outside the company. Sosialisasi PEBK
Sosialisasi Pedoman Etika Bisnis dan Pedoman Etika Kerja dilakukan secara bertahap, yaitu dengan menerbitkan PEBK dan membagikannya kepada karyawan. Pedoman Etika Bisnis dibagikan kepada karyawan golongan III ke atas sedangkan Pedoman Etika Kerja dibagikan kepada seluruh karyawan tetap, mulai golongan I-IV. Seluruh karyawan yang telah menerima PEBK wajib menandatangani Surat Pernyataan yang berisi kesanggupan untuk menerima dan menerapkan PEBK dengan sebaik-baiknya. (SO3)
Benturan Kepentingan
PTPN XIII telah merumuskan kebijakan yang memberikan panduan penyelesaian yang berpotensi menimbulkan benturan kepentingan. Di dalam Code of Corporate Governance dinyatakan bahwa pengungkapan adanya benturan kepentingan wajib dilaporkan kepada Pemegang Saham paling lambat 5 (lima) hari sejak terjadinya situasi/kondisi tersebut. Pemegang Saham meneliti situasi/kondisi yang menunjukkan adanya indikasi tersebut dan dalam waktu paling lambat 5 (lima) hari mengambil keputusan untuk mengatasi situasi tersebut. (4.6)
Conflict of Interest
PTPN XIII has formulated a policy on how such issues should be resolved in a potential conflict of interest situation. In Code of Corporate Governance, it is stated that disclosure of conflict of interest must be reported to the Shareholders at the latest five days starting from the incident of conflict of interest. Shareholders have to examine the situation/condition showing the indications and within 5 (five) days of the latest have to make decision to solve the problems. (4.6)
Human Rights
In accordance with the 2000 Act No. 21 concerning Labor Union. PTPN XIII gives freedom to the employees to establish labor union. In PTPN XIII. there is only one registered labor union. which is Labor Union of Nusantara Plantation

Serikat Pekerja Perkebunan Nusantara (SP BUN). SP BUN berfungsi sebagai pihak dalam pembuatan perjanjian kerja bersama dan penyelesaian perselisihan industrial, sebagai sarana penyalur aspirasi dalam memperjuangkan hak & kepentingan anggotanya. (HR5) Manajemen PTPN XIII menghormati dan mengakui hakhak pribadi karyawan, tidak melakukan diskriminasi atas dasar apapun dan memberikan kesempatan yang sama kepada seluruh karyawan untuk berkembang dan memberikan yang terbaik bagi perusahaan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dalam carier planning yang pelaksanannya berdasarkan kompetensi dan bukan lagi berdasarkan senioritas. (HR4) PTPN XIII tidak mempekerjakan pekerja anak dan pekerja paksa, dan tidak mempekerjakan pegawai di bawah usia 18 tahun. Untuk menjamin terjaganya hak-hak dan kewajiban karyawan, Manajemen bermitra dengan Serikat Pekerja Perkebunan (SPBUN) membangun kemitraan yang tertuang dalam Perjanjian Kerja Bersama (PKB). PKB disosialisasikan kepada seluruh karyawan secara berjenjang. (HR6, HR7)

The labor union acts as one party involved in the making of cooperative agreement and the settlement of industrial disputes, as an aspiration channelling tool in struggling for the rights and interests of the members.(HR5) The Management of PTPN XIII pays high respect to and recognize the rights of individual empoyee, does not conduct discriminative action on whatever reasons, and gives equal opportunity to entire employees for their development and do the best for the company. This can be seen in the career planning. the execution of which is on the basis of competency and not of seniority. (HR4) PTPN XIII do not employ child labor and forced labor, and do not hires employees under the age of 18. To ensure the preservation on rights and obligations of employees, Management partner with Plantation Worker Union (SPBUN) build partnership that set out in the Collective Labor Agreement (CLA). CLA disseminated to all employees in stages. (HR6, HR7)

Sejalan dengan hal tersebut, PTPN XIII terus melakukan transformasi Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia ke Manajemen Strategis SDM untuk mencapai optimalisasi fungsi pengelolaan SDM yang lebih tinggi yaitu Human Capital Management. Di dalam pengelolaan SDM, Perusahaan menggunakan model CBHRM (Compentecy Base Human Resources Management) atau Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia berdasarkan pada Kompetensi.
In relation to the above mentioned objective, PTPN XIII keeps performing Human Resources Management transformation to HR Strategic Development to optimize higher function of HR management function, namely Human Capital Management. In managing HR, the Company uses CBHRM (Competency Based Human Resources Management) model.
Kesejahteraan Karyawan
Perseroan sangat memperhatikan kesejahteraan karyawan. Penggajian karyawan ditentukan berdasarkan Perjanjian Kerja Bersama antara Direksi PT Perkebunan Nusantara XIII (Persero) dengan Serikat Pekerja Perkebunan PT Perkebunan Nusantara XIII (Persero) yang disahkan oleh Menteri Tenaga Kerja, yang kemudian ditetapkan dalam SK Direksi. Dalam menentukan penggajian karyawan tetap, tidak ada perbedaan perlakuan antara karyawan pria dan wanita. (LA3, LA14). PTPN XIII berupaya semaksimal mungkin untuk memberi penghargaan yang layak kepada para karyawan, diantaranya melalui system reward yang adil dan efektif. Standar gaji pokok karyawan tetap lebih tinggi dibandingkan Upah Minimum Provinsi yang berlaku. Oleh sebab itu, terdapat 5 (lima) SK Direksi yang berkaitan dengan penggajian karyawan golongan I-II, yang berlaku untuk wilayah Kalbar, wilayah Kalteng, wilayah Kalsel, wilayah Kaltim dan wilayah Jakarta. Employee Welfare
The Company gives a lot of attention to employee welfare. The employee payroll system is based on the Agreement of Cooperation between the Board of Directors of PTPN XIII and the Labor Union of PTPN XIII ratified by the Ministry of Manpower, and then defined in the Decree of the Board of Directors. In determining the payroll system of permanent employees, there is not any difference between male and female employees. (LA3, LA14).
PTPN XIII makes its best efforts to give appropriate appreciation to the employees, among others through fair and effective reward system. The standard of main salary for permanent employees is higher than the prevailing Provincial Minimum Salary. Therefore, are 5 (five) Decrees of the Board of Directors related to payroll system of grade I-II employees for West Kalimantan area, Central Kalimantan area, South Kalimantan area, East Kalimantan area and Jakarta area. Di luar gaji pokok, Perseroan juga memberikan hak-hak karyawan tetap meliputi tunjangan cuti, uang lembur, tunjangan jabatan, tunjangan struktural, biaya pelaksanaan tugas, biaya perjalanan dinas, biaya pengumandahan, biaya pisah keluarga, biaya pindah, biaya pendidikan, bouns, tunjangan hari raya.
Besides the main salary, the Company also gives the rights of permanent employees covering leave allowance, overtime money, occupational allowance, structural allowance, task implementation expenses, official journey expenses, secondment expenses, expenses for being away from ones family, moving expenses, educational expenses, bonus, and holiday allowance. The Company also provides social security program in meeting their prosperity, such as medical facility and health care services for the employees and their nuclear families, Providing housings equipped with electricity and water, particularly for those employees working at Estates/Units while for those not having physical allotment, to them it is given benefits. The Company also involves the employees in the Worker Social Insurance encompasses such programs as Old age benefits, Work Accident Benefits, Death Insurance, Plantation Pension Fund and Financial Agency Pension Fund, Building place for worship, sport facilities, and proper day care/nursery. For non-permanent employees or contract employees, the implementation of rights and regulations is regulated by Definite Time Work of Contract (PKWT) formulated pursuant to the Law of Employment. Mengacu pada UU No. 21 tahun 2004, Direksi PTPN XIII memberikan kebebasan kepada karyawan untuk membentuk Serikat Pekerja dan tidak akan mencampuri atau menghalangi segala sesuatu yang berhubungan dengan perkembangan organisasi Serikat Pekerja, selama perkembangan tersebut tidak bertentangan dengan peraturan perundang-undangan ketenagakerjaan yang berlaku. Serikat Pekerja Perkebunan Nusantara (SP-BUN) PTPN XIII merupakan organisasi yang dibentuk dari, oleh, dan untuk karyawan PTPN XIII, yang bersifat bebas, terbuka, mandiri, demokratis, dan bertanggung jawab guna memperjuangkan, membela, melindungi dak dan kepentingan karyawan serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan karyawan dan keluarganya. Referring to Act No. 21 of 2004, the Board of Directors of PTPN XIII gives freedom to its employees to establish a Labor Union and will not interfere or hinder anything related to the development of the Labor Union, as long as it does not violate the prevailing employment laws and regulations. The Labor Unior of Nusantara Plantation (SP BUN) of PTPN XIII is an organization formed from, by and for the employees of PTPN XIII, with the following features: free, open, independent, democratic and responsible to fight for, defend, protect the rights and interests of the employees and to improve the welfare of the employees and their families. The members of SP-BUN are Grade I A IV D employees, with the total of 11,708 people. In 2010, the Board of Directors facilitated and fully supported the activities of SPBUN, among others meeting between the Management and the Members of SP-BUN PTPN XIII in Banjarmasin, Balikpapan and Parindu in order to record the aspirations of the members for the formulation of the 2010-2012 Agreement of Cooperation. Tahapan penerapan reward and punishment adalah teguran, peringatan, skorsing, demosi, pemberhentian, lain-lain. Tahap-tahap penyelesaian perselisihan dan keluh kesah Karyawan terlebih dahulu diselesaikan secara internal, bipartit, dan kemudian tripartit sesuai Undang Undang No. 2 Tahun 2004 berikut peraturan pelaksanaannya. Disciplinary Action
Within their policies, Board of Directors is continually committed to implement reward and punishment to their employees. To the employees committing deviation with criminal indications, legal process will be imposed upon and he/she will be sanctioned according to PKB provision. The stages in giving reward and punishment are verbal warning, written warning, suspension, demotion, dismissal, others. The stages of dispute resolution and employee complaints are solving it internally, bipartite, and then tripartite pursuant to Law No. 2 of 2004 and its implementing regulations. (LA5)
The findings of the 2009 survey demonstrated that satisfaction index scored 3.28, increase of 0.13 point relative to the 2006 survey. Score 3,28 in a scale 1 5 showed that in general the employees of PTPN XIII potential to become satisfied. Secara administratif kepegawaian, seluruh pekerja di PTPN XIII dibedakan dalam dua status, yaitu karyawan tetap dan karyawan tidak tetap (Pekerja Kontrak Waktu Tertentu). Pada akhir tahun 2010, jumlah karyawan PTPN XIII menjadi 13.800 orang, terdiri atas karyawan tetap 11.718 orang dan karyawan tidak tetap 2.081 orang. Terhadap tahun 2009, jumlah karyawan mengalami penurunan sebanyak 71 orang. Meskipun demikian, produktivitas tenaga kerja per orang sepanjang tahun 2010 mengalami peningkatan. (LA1, 2.8) Berdasarkan jenjang pendidikan, pada periode pelaporan tahun 2010 terjadi peningkatan jumlah karyawan pada kelompok pendidikan S1 sehingga mencapai 328 orang, sedangkan pada kelompok pendidikan SMA mengalami penurunan sehingga mencapai 3.903 orang. Based on level of education, during 2010 reporting period, there was an increase of employees from graduate degree which reached 328 people, and there was a decrease in the Senior High School group to 3,903 people. Berdasarkan usia, sebanyak 187 orang karyawan golongan III-IV telah berusia di atas 50 tahun. Mengacu pada ketentuan di dalam Perjanjian Kerja Bersama, batas usia pensiun normal adalah 56 tahun sehingga dalam waktu dekat banyak karyawan pimpinan yang akan memasuki masa pensiun. Oleh sebab itu, PTPN XIII merasa perlu menyusun standar formasi karyawan untuk mengetahui standar baku jumlah karyawan yang dibutuhkan dengan adanya karyawan pensiun dan pengembangan usaha/unit baru. Sepanjang tahun 2010, Perusahaan telah melakukan rekrutmen karyawan pimpinan dan pelaksana sebanyak 305 orang untuk memenuhi standar formasi. Berdasarkan jenis kelamin, karyawan PTPN XIII didominasi oleh karyawan laki-laki, yaitu 77,13%. Hal ini tidak terkait dengan adanya diskriminasi gender, namun lebih banyak karena karakter kegiatan operasi perkebunan dan lokasi kebun/unit usaha yang berada di remote areas. Based on age, 187 employees of grade III-IV are above 50 years old. Referring to the stipulations in the Agreement of Cooperation, the standard limit of pension age is 56 years old. Therefore, soon a lot of top rank employees will enter their retirement period. So PTPN XIII considers that it is necessary to formulate the standard employee formation to find out the standard number of employees required as some employees are about to retire and for the business development/new unit establishment. In 2010, the Company has recruited 305 people as top rank employees and implementers to meet the standard formation.
Based on gender, the employees of PTPN XIII are dominated by male employees, namely 77.13%. It is not related to gender discrimination but merely due to the characters of operational activities at the plantation and the location of the estate/business unit in remote areas. The total training participants were 8,141 people, 123.72% higher than that of in 2009 which were only 3,639 people. The average allocation of training cost for all of the employees was IDR 1,048,069/person. The total training days were 19,699 mandays or 2.42 days per participant which were equal to 24.12 hours of training per participant. (LA 10)
The coaching and training program is intended for every level of position and type of work, starting from the highest level, the Board of Directors to grade I employees so that the competency improvement in accordance with the needs of each level of position can be carried out evenly. PTPN XIII also focuses its efforts to build partnership with the plasma farmers by holding training and coaching using process dynamics method. This policy is implemented in order to improve the technical capability and the welfare of supervised plasma farmers considering their significant role and contribution to the Company. (EC1, SO1)

PTPN XIII menetapkan batas usia seorang karyawan adalah 55 dan 56 tahun, sejalan dengan peraturan perundang-undangan ketenagakerjaan, dan kemudian ditetapkan dalam Perjanjian Kerja Bersama. Sepanjang tahun 2010, karyawan yang memasuki masa pensiun berjumlah 399 orang atau 3,41% dari total karyawan. Selain itu, terdapat karyawan yang berhenti atas permintaan sendiri sebanyak 65 orang atau 0,55% dari total karyawan tetap tahun 2010, dan 1 orang meninggal karena kecelakaan kerja. Promosi jabatan dilaksanakan dengan acuan dasar data penilaian karya, analisa kekuatan dan kelemahan, prestasi di lapangan dan second opinion dari asesmen. Masingmasing karyawan memiliki kesempatan yang sama untuk di promosikan sepanjang memenuhi persyaratan jabatan dan tersedianya formasi serta dalam rangka pembinaan karyawan. Pada tahun 2010, mutasi karyawan golongan III IV dilakukan sebanyak 115 orang yang bertujuan untuk penyegaran, menambah dan memperkaya penugasan pekerjaan, meningkatkan keterampilan kepemimpinan dalam berbagai situasi. Promosi Karyawan pimpinan sebanyak 10 orang, Manajer Menengah Madya sebanyak 8 orang dan Manajer Menengah Atas sebanyak 2 orang. Untuk karyawan golongan I II, mutasi sebanyak 54 orang dan promosi ke strata karyawan golongan III sebanyak 45 orang. Promosi dilakukan untuk menghargai kompetensi dan loyalitas karyawan golongan I II untuk tetap dapat bersaing dan memperoleh hak mengembangkan diri pada jabatan yang lebih tinggi.

Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia dituntut bukan hanya menyelesaikan tugas-tugas administrasi kepegawaian, manpower dan payroll namun juga memiliki tanggung jawab yang lebih luas untuk merencanakan pengembangan kemampuan karyawan, pengelolaan karir, dan menciptakan sistem reward yang memotivasi serta menjaga keterlibatan karyawan untuk tetap merasa sebagai bagian dari perusahaan. Transformasi Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia ke Manajemen Strategis SDM merupakan langkah yang terus dilakukan oleh PTPN XIII untuk mencapai optimalisasi fungsi pengelolaan SDM yang lebih tinggi yaitu Human Capital Management. Human resources management plays an important role in supporting the main business of PTPN XIII (Persero) in the future. The Human Resources Management is not only required to settle administrative tasks related to employment, manpower and payroll but is also holding wider responsibility to plan the improvement of employees capability, career management, and formulate a reward system which will motivate and maintain the involvement of the employees to feel as part of the company. The Transformation of Human Resources Management to HR Strategic Management is still continued by the management to optimize the function of HR management as Human Capital Management.
PTPN XIII has applied the model of CBHRM (Competency Based Human Resources Management) in managing HR. In 2010, the Company has set the fundamentals of HR management and development using the combination of Competency Based Human Management and Talent Management method. In Talent Management model, employees show their performance based on the combination of Potential Capacity and Performance Contributions, so that the strengths of every employee can be well managed. Based on the combination of potential capacity and performance contribution, the classification of employees talent can be identified.
Database in the form of classification containing the description of the condition of every employee shall be used as a reference for the Company to perform various efforts in employee personal development, starting from training required by every individual, placement, career planning, future leader planning, and feedback or personal counseling. In 2010, PTPN XIII has allocated IDR 3.489 billion for System Research and Development activities, covering training evaluation, employee satisfaction survey, running a test for employee database program, formulating the standard employee formation, formulating fair and effective reward system. Pelaksanaan K3 ini mengacu pada Peraturan Menteri Tenaga Kerja Nomor 05 Tahun 1996 tentang SMK3, dan Undang-Undang No.13 Tahun 2003 tentang Ketenagakerjaan, Pasal 86 (2) yang menegaskan Untuk melindungi keselamatan pekerja atau buruh guna mewujudkan produktivitas kerja yang optimal, diselanggarakan upaya keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja. Pekerja berhak mendapatkan perlindungan atas keselamatan, kesehatan, pemeliharaan moral kerja, serta perlakuan yang sesuai dengan martabat dan moral agama.

The implementation of OHS is pursuant to the Regulation of the Minister of Manpower No. 05 of 1996 concerning the OHS Management System and Act No. 13 of 2003 on Employment, Article 86 (2) confirming In order to protect the safety of workers or laborers to generate optimal work productivity, occupational health and safety should be implemented. Workers reserve the rights to obtain protection on their safety, health, work moral maintenance, and to be treated appropriately in line with human dignity and religious morality.

Sosialisasi K3
PTPN XIII berupaya bahwa semua kegiatan operasional perusahaan harus dapat menjamin keselamatan karyawan dan tidak menimbulkan risiko berbahaya bagi lingkungan sekitar. Oleh sebab itu, semua karyawan diwajibkan untuk mematuhi dan menjalankan tugasnya sesuai dengan Standard Operation Prosedur (SOP) yang sudah ditetapkan. PTPN XIII giat melaksanakan sosialisasi K3, mengenai kewajiban setiap Kebun/Unit untuk menyediakan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD), Pemasangan Rambu-rambu K3 di tempat-tempat yang dianggap rawan terjadi kecelakaan. Selain itu, sosialisasi K3 juga dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan Bulan K3 yang rutin diselenggarakan setiap tahun. Tema Bulan K3 Nasional tahun 2010 adalah Gelorakan Gema Daya K3 dalam Kehidupan Bermasyarakat.
OHS Socialization
PTPN XIII has made its best efforts to ensure that every operational activity of the company has to guarantee the safety of the employees and does not contain any potential danger for the surrounding environment. Therefore, all of the employees are obliged to obey and perform their tasks in accordance with the stipulated Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). PTPN XIII is active in socializing OHS related to the obligation of every Estate/Unit to provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to place OHS signs in areas with potential accident. Besides that, the OHS socialization is also carried out through OHS month activities which are regularly carried out each year. The theme of 2010 National OHS month was Bring the Spirit of OHS in Community Life.

Target program penyuluhan dan pelatihan K3 adalah tercapainya budaya K3 di lingkungan kebun/unit sehingga dapat mengeliminir kecelakaan kerja karena faktor kesalahan manusia dan faktor kesalahan tehnis. Pelatihan ahli K3 ditujukan kepada karyawan golongan III-IV, sedangkan penyuluhan tentang K3 dan peraturan ketenagakerjaan lainnya ditujukan kepada seluruh karyawan di masingmasing Unit Kerja. Perusahaan juga membentuk Panitia Pembina K3 (P2K3) yang terdiri atas karyawan golongan III-IV dan Kerani Petugas Umum di setiap Kebun/Unit, masing-masing sejumlah 8 (delapan) orang. Pembentukan P2K3 ini bertujuan agar SMK3 dapat terselengga secara efektif dan efisien. Secara berkala, Perusahaan melakukan konseling kepada seluruh karyawan mengenai K3 dan kesejahteraan Karyawan serta memfasilitasi pelaksanaan norma kesehatan terhadap seluruh karyawan, pemenuhan terhadap terselenggaranya klinik, rumah sakit, posyandu dan bidan dalam upaya menjaga dan meningkatkan kesehatan karyawan dan batihnya, tersedianya data kondisi kesehatan lingkungan kerja di seluruh unit kerja, pemprosesan administrasi pengiriman pasien ke rumah sakit rujukan, dan terlaksananya monitoring program kesehatan dan kesejahteraan karyawan. Program penyehatan lingkungan dilakukan melalui kegiatan kebersihan lingkungan Kebun/Unit, pabrik dan emplasemen secara rutin setiap pekan sehingga lingkungan kerja menjadi bersih dan nyaman. Program pemberantasan sarang nyamuk (khususnya demam berdarah) dengan upaya 3M (Menutup, Menguras dan Mengubur) atau dengan fogging (pengasapan) dimaksudkan untuk mencegah berjangkitnya penyakit endemik berbahaya yang ditularkan melalui perantara nyamuk. The target of OHS counseling and training program is to establish OHS culture at the estate/unit in order to eliminate work accident caused by human error and technical error. Training of OHS experts is intended to grade III-IV employees while counseling about OHS and other employment regulations is intended to all of the employees in every Work Unit.
The Company also established an OHS Steering Committee consisting of grade III-IV employees and General Affairs Clerks in every Estate/Unit. Every committee consists of 8 (eight) people. The establishment of OHS Steering Committee is intended to implement OHS Management System effectively and efficiently. Periodically, the Company holds counseling session for all of the employees concerning OHS and Employees Welfare and facilitating the implementation of health norms to every employee, such as ensuring that clinic, hospital, posyandu (integrated health service post), and midwife are available in maintaining and improving the health of employees and their families, ensuring the availability of data on work environmental health condition in every work unit, processing the transfer of patient to the referral hospital, and monitoring the employees health and welfare program. Environmental sanitary improvement program is carried out by cleaning the Estate/Unit, factory/mill, and emplacement regularly once a week in order that the work environment is clean and comfortable. Mosquito controlling program (especially dengue hemorrhagic fever mosquito) by implementing 3M program (Menutup Covering water containers, Menguras Clearing and brushing water containers, and Mengubur burying water containers) or fogging to prevent the outbreak of this dangerous endemic disease spread by mosquitoes. Economic Performance
Ikhtisar Kinerja Ekonomi disusun mengacu pada indikator kinerja ekonomi berdasarkan pedoman pelaporan keberlanjutan Global Reporting Initiative versi 3.0. Secara keseluruhan, nilai ekonomi yang ditahan, merupakan selisih dari perolehan nilai ekonomi dan pendistribusian nilai ekonomi. Dalam komponen perolehan nilai ekonomi, tidak terdapat penerimaan yang berasal dari pemerintah maupun pihak lainnya. Perolehan nilai ekonomi hampir seluruhnya berasal dari hasil penjualan, ditambah dengan pendapatan bunga dan pendapatan lain-lain. Ketua KUD Rindu Sawit, Parindu Kabupaten Sanggau, dengan Aset mencapai Rp 1 M, beranggotakan 1.480 petani. Head of Rindu Sawit Cooperative, Parindu, Sanggau District, with the total Assets of IDR 1 Billion, with 1,480 farmers as its members.
Sejak berdirinya perkebunan kelapa sawit di Parindu, banyak perubahan yang telah dirasakan.Termasuk asset KUD Rindu Sawit yang hampir mencapai Rp 1 M. KUD yang terletak di desa Pusat damai, kecamatan Parindu, kabupaten Sanggau ini sudah mempunyai 1.480 anggota. Taraf ekonomi masyarakat meningkat, demikian juga dengan taraf pendidikan. Jika dahulu sebelum ada sawit, kondisi sangat sulit, bahkan setiap tahun warga setempat mengalami paceklik, namun sekarang taraf ekonomi masyarakat sudah meningkat. Banyak petani yang mampu membiayai pendidikan anaknya, bahkan hingga bangku Perguruan Tinggi, dengan mengandalkan hasil panen sawit.
Since oil palm plantations are opened in Parindu, we have experienced a lot of changes, including the assets of Rindu Sawit Cooperative which almost reach IDR 1 Billion. The economic condition of the society increases, and the educational level does, too. Back then, everything was very difficult. In fact, every year the local people experienced food scarcity. Now, the economic condition of the society is much better. A lot of farmers afford to pay for their childrens education even sending them to the University using what they get from oil palm harvest.

Dengan luas lahan 87 ha, setiap anggota mampu menghasilkan laba bersih sekitar Rp 1,2 juta per bulan, sudah dipotong biaya pupuk, herbisida dan biaya lainnya.

Produk yang dihasillkan PTPN XIII adalah Minyak Sawit, Inti Sawit dan karet (SIR-20 dan RSS). Produk tersebut merupakan produk primer karena merupakan produk industri hulu dan bahan baku industri hilir. Minyak sawit dan inti sawit merupakan bahan baku bagi industri Refinery untuk menghasilkan minyak goreng, stearin, Fatty Acids, dan bahan baku industri oleokimia. Produk karet adalah bahan baku industri elastomer terutama menghasilkan ban kendaraan bermotor, seal, telapak sepatu, sarung tangan dan sebagainya. (2.2) Produk PTPN XIII saat ini mencapai 340.069 ton minyak sawit dan 62.110 inti sawit. Produk karet mencapai 27.875 ton karet kering. Produk minyak sawit dan inti sawit sepenuhnya dipasarkan untuk konsumsi industri minyak nabati di Indonesia. Produk olahan karet berupa SIR 20 dan RSS, 80% dialokasikan untuk pasar domestik dan 20% dialokasikan untuk pasar global seperti India dan Cina. Products
The products of PTPN XIII are Palm Oil, Palm Kernel, and rubber (SIR-20 and RSS). The products are primary products because they are upstream industry products and raw materials for downstream industry. Palm oil and palm kernel are raw materials for Refinery industry to produce cooking oil, stearin, Fatty Acids, and raw materials for oleochemical industry. Rubber products are raw materials for elastomer industry especially to produce tires for motor vehicle, seal, shoe sole, gloves, etc. (2.2)
The products of PTPN XIII at present are 340,069 tons of palm oil and 62,110 palm kernel. The rubber products are 27,875 tons of dried rubber. Palm oil and palm kernel are fully marketed for the consumption of vegetable oil industry in Indonesia. Rubber processing products are SIR 20 and RSS, 80% is allocated for domestic market and 20% is allocated for global market such as India and China. PTPN XIII telah memiliki Bagian Quality Assurance dan Pengelolaan Sistem Manajemen Mutu untuk menangani pengendalian mutu produksi. Demikian pula, Perusahaan juga telah memiliki fasilitas laboratorium yang representatif di unit-unit produksi maupun di Kantor Direksi. PTPN XIII berupaya untuk mentaati aturan kelayakan produk yang dijual, sehingga tidak pernah menghadapi adanya tuntutan pelanggaran peraturan atau kode etik penjualan produk. Selama 2010, tidak terdapat adanya pelanggaran peraturan perundangan-undangan maupun ketentuan lain yang terkait dengan kesehatan dan keselamatan konsumen atas penggunaan produk CPO, minyak inti sawit, karet kering (PR2). Pabrik Minyak Sawit PTPN XIII dengan menggunakan teknologi tinggi dan didukung oleh performa sumber daya manusia yang handal telah berhasil mendapatkan pengakuan standar mutu produksi sejak tahun 2005. Setelah sebelumnya menerapkan SMM ISO 9001 : 2000, pada tanggal 12 Agustus 2010 Perusahaan meraih SMM SNI ISO: 2008 yang dikeluarkan oleh PT TUV NORD Indonesia untuk proses produksi di tujuh PMS. (PR3) Pabrik Karet PTPN XIII telah berhasil mendapatkan pengakuan standar mutu produksi sejak tahun 2006. Palm Oil Mills of PTPN XIII which use high technology and are supported by human resources with excellent performance has obtained the production quality standard acknowledgement since 2005. After applying SMM ISO 9001:2000, on August 12, 2010 the Company received SMM SNI ISO:2008 issued by PT TUV NORD Indonesia for production process in seven Palm Oil Mills. (PR3)
The Rubber Factories of PTPN XIII has obtained the acknowledgement of its production quality standard since 2006. The Company has implemented and received SMM SNI ISO 9001: 2008 for its production process issued by Yogya Quality Assurance (YOQA) on 17 March 2010, for Nangka Jetak Sintang Crumb Rubber Factory and Tambarangan Crumb Rubber Factory, and on 12 November 2010 for Sheet Dasal Factory. Dalam rangka mempertahankan hubungan harmonis dengan pelanggan, PTPN XIII selalu berupaya meningkatkan pelayanan dan kualitas produk yang dipasarkan. Perusahaan juga senantiasa mereviu dan mengevaluasi Survei Kepuasan Pelanggan yang dilakukan setiap tahun. Selain melalui mekanisme Survei Kepuasan Pelanggan, PTPN XIII juga berupaya menyelesaikan klaim mutu yang diajukan oleh pelanggan dan mengganti kerugian sesuai ketentuan dan kesepakatan sebelumnya. Di tahun 2010, jumlah komplain dari pelanggan menurun 47,96% dibandingkan tahun 2009, sehingga sanksi dalam bentuk denda material terkait dengan mutu produk menjadi Rp 8,79 milyar PTPN XIII telah mengantisipasi bila di kemudian hari terjadi komplain dari pelanggan, diantaranya melalui pemeriksanaan mutu produk sesaat sebelum produk diserahkan ke pelanggan. Hasil pemeriksaan tersebut diserahkan dalam bentuk Sertifikat Mutu Produk. (PR4, PR5, PR9) PTPN XIII berupaya melakukan komunikasi pemasaran, diantaranya melalui komunikasi internal antara Bagian Pemasaran dengan Unit Produksi untuk koordinasi, Bagian Pemasaran juga melakukan komunikasi eksternal dengan pembeli, Kantor Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara, Bursa Berjangka Komoditas, dan lain-lain. PTPN XIII senantiasa melakukan praktik bisnis secara etis dan legal serta memenuhi ketentuan Peraturan Perundang-Undangan yang berlaku. Sepanjang tahun 2010, tidak terdapat pengaduan tentang pelanggaran privatisasi pelanggan maupun hal-hal negatif dalam berkompetisi. (PR6, PR7, PR8, SO7)
In order to maintain a harmonious relationship with its customers, PTPN XIII always tries to improve its service and the quality of marketed products. The Company also always reviews and evaluates the Customers Satisfaction Survey held every year. Besides through the Customers Satisfaction Survey mechanism, PTPN XIII also tries to settle the quality claim submitted by the customers and give them compensation in accordance with the previous terms and conditions. In 2010, the total customers complaint decreased by 47.96% compared to that of in 2009, so that sanction in the form of material fine related to product quality decreased to IDR 8.79 billion. PTPN XIII has anticipated if in the future there are complaints from the customers, among others by performing quality control immediately before shipping the products to the customers. The result of the quality control is given in the form of Product Quality Certificate. (PR4, PR5, PR9) PTPN XIII makes some efforts to perform marketing communication, among others through internal communication between the Marketing Department and the Production Unit to coordinate. The Marketing Department also performs external communication with the buyers, the Common Marketing Office of Perkebunan Nusantara, the Commodity Stock Exchange, etc. PTPN XIII always performs its business ethically and legally and obeys the prevailing laws and regulations. In 2010, there was no claim on customers privatization violation or other negative issues in business competition. (PR6, PR7, PR8, SO7).

PTPN XIII has made some efforts to anticipate such matter by improving the quality of its production assets and other resources so that climate change will not cause significant decrease on its production. Besides that, in a limited capacity, PTPN XIII also made some efforts to reduce the utilization of fossil fuel and replace it with environmentally friendly biodiesel energy. PTPN XIII memiliki komitmen yang tinggi terhadap lingkungan, yang tertuang dalam salah satu misi perusahaan, yaitu Mengembangkan sistem perkebunan yang ramah lingkungan, yang selanjutnya diwujudkan melalui kebijakan strategis PTPN XIII, yaitu Keberpihakan kepada lingkungan. Konsep Zero Emissions menjadi landasan bagi PTPN XIII dalam mengelola lingkungan. Perusahaan menerapkan strategi pengelolaan lingkungan yang bersifat preventif dan terpadu pada proses produksi dan daur hidup produk dengan tujuan mengurangi risiko terhadap manusia dan lingkungan. Penggunaan maksimal bahan mentah yang dipakai dan sumber-sumber yang terbarui menghasilkan keberlanjutan penggunaan sumber daya alam dan penghematan terutama bagi limbah yang masih mempunyai nilai ekonomi. Kebijakan lingkungan PTPN XIII meliputi ketentuan pengelolaan limbah yang berasal dari proses operasional pabrik (limbah padat, limbah B3, limbah cair), penggunaan pupuk dan bahan kimia tanaman, penggunaan BBM dan pelumas, penggunaan energi tidak langsung, penggunaan bahan kimia pengolahan, pengelolaan dan penggunaan air, pengelolaan bahan/barang produk. PTPN XIII memiliki bagian khusus yang menangani lingkungan di Kantor Direksi dan pelaksana teknis di unit kerja. Untuk memastikan semua kegiatan operasional perusahaan (on farm-off farm) terkait pengelolaan lingkungan dapat berlangsung baik, maka Direksi bertanggung jawab mengevaluasi kegiatan tersebut dan melaporkannya ke instansi berwenang.

Zero emissions concept becomes the basis for PTPN XIII to manage the environment. The company applies the preventive and integrated environmental management strategy in the production process and product life cycle which determine to reduce the risks to human and environment. The maximum use of the needed raw materials and renewable resources leads to the sustainability of natural resources use and their conservation especially the waste which still has economic values.
The policies of PTPN XIII include the treatment of waste which derives from the factory operational process (solid waste, hazardous and poisonous waste, liquid waste), the use of fertilizer and chemical products for plants, the use of fuel and lubricant oil, the use of indirect energy, the use of chemical products for processing, the water use and management, product management. PTPN XIII has a special department that handles the environmental problems in the office of the Board of Directors, and the technical implementer in the working unit. To ensure that all the company operations (on farm-off farm) related to environmental management work properly, the Board of Directors shall be responsible to evaluate the activities and to report to the authorized institution.

Untuk mengurangi jumlah konsumsi bahan bakar fosil, PTPN XIII menggunakan biodiesel yang dihasilkan oleh dua Unit Pengolahan Biodiesel milik Perusahaan. Selain itu, dua Pabrik Minyak Sawit baru yang dibangun tahun 2010 juga dilengkapi dengan economizer yang dapat menghemat pemakaian bahan bakar. (EN5, EN6, EN18).
To reduce the use of fossil fuel, PTPN XIII uses biodiesel produced by 2 (two) factory-owned biodiesel processing units. In addition, 2 (two) new palm oil mills built in 2010 will be also facilitated with economizer which can save the use of fuel (EN5, EN6, EN18).
Material Recycle
Although in limited capacity, PTPN XIII carries out the recy cling process of some materials in production process, especially for palm oil production process. The recycled production materials to be reused in palm oil mills are shell, empty fruit bunches, liquid waste, and final CPO drab. Fractionation of the products of fresh fruit bunches processing consists of empty fruit bunches of 21.5%, CPO drab of 43.5%, (CPO 22.5%, solid 4.1%, water 16.9%) kernerl 5%, shell 5.4%, fibres of 11.5%, and water 1.4%. The production of shell reaches 5.4% per ton fresh fruit bunches, some of which is used for boiler fuel. Meanwhile, empty fruit bunches and solid waste are returned to the plantation to promote the soil fertility and physical natures. Final CPO drab taken from Cooling Pound waste pond is utilized for biodiesel raw materials. (EN2, EN5)
Pengelolaan Limbah
Falsafah dasar Zero Emissions menyatakan bahwa proses industrI seharusnya tidak menghasilkan limbah dalam bentuk apapun karena limbah tersebut merupakan bahan baku bagi industry lain. Konsep pengelolaan limbah PTPN XIII mengarah pada Zero Emissions dengan berpedoman pada ketentuan dan perundang-undangan yang berlaku sebagai acuan pelaksanaannya. Pelaksanaan pengelolaan limbah dilakukan sejak awal produksi dengan melakukan tindakan proaktif, diantaranya: meminimalkan terbentuknya limbah dengan menggunakan teknologi modern (dalam hal ini, PTPN XIII telah membangun dua PMS baru berteknologi modern dan ramah lingkungan di tahun 2010), memanfaatkan limbah untuk produksi, dan mengolah limbah secara benar. Pengelolaan Limbah Padat Operasional Pabrik Minyak Sawit menghasilkan limbah padat berupa tandan kosong, cangkang dan wet decanter solid. Limbah padat tandan kosong merupakan limbah padat yang jumlahnya cukup besar, namun pemanfaatannya masih terbatas. Waste Treatment
The basic philosophy of Zero Emissions is that the industri al process is not supposed to produce waste in any forms because the waste can be the raw materials for another production. The concept of waste treatment in PTPN XIII refers to Zero Emissions pursuant to the rules and regulations in effect as its implementation reference. The implementation of waste treatment is applied since the initial stage of production process by doing proactive actions, such as minimizing the waste formation by using modern technology (in this case, PTPN XIII has built 2 (two) new palm oil mills which have modern technology and are environment-friendly in 2010), utilizing waste for production, and doing appropriate waste treatment.

dalam tanah dan meningkatkan kandungan bahan organik tanah yang sangat diperlukan bagi perbaikan sifat fisik tanah yang akan berdampak positif terhadap pertumbuhan akar dan penyerapan unsur hara. Setiap ton Tankos mengandung unsur hara yang setara dengan 3 Kg urea; 0,6 kg CIRP; 12 Kg MOP; dan 2 Kg Kieserit. PTPN XIII memanfaatkan tankos untuk Tanaman Menghasilkan dengan dosis 20-30 ton/ha, sedangkan untuk Tanaman Belum Menghasilkan dosis yang dipakai adalah 30-40 ton/ha. Sampai dengan akhir tahun 2010, aplikasi Tankos mencapai areal seluas 6.077,34 ha. (EN22). Selain dimanfaatkan sebagai mulsa, tankos sebagai produk limbah padat pabrik ini akan dimanfaatkan sebagai bahan baku utama Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Tandan Kosong, dan cangkang. Saat ini masih dalam tahap persiapan dokumen dan FS (Feasibility Study). (EN7, EN22). PTPN XIII telah merintis Sistem Integrasi Sapi-Sawit sejak tahun 2009 di Desa Gasing, Ngabang, Kabupaten Landak, Kalbar. Anggota Kelompok Plasma Sawit-Sapi mendapatkan pelatihan sekolah lapangan integrasi Sawit-Sapi dan bantuan sapi melalui program PKBL sebanyak 32 ekor. Pakan sapi diperoleh dari kombinasi hijauan, limbah pabrik berupa wet decanter solid dan produk samping dari kegiatan perkebunan, yaitu pelepah dan daun sawit. (EN 22) Secara sosial, petani Sapi-Sawit akan mendapatkan tambahan pemasukan yang berasal dari mengelola peternakan skala kecil dengan biaya yang murah karena pakan diperoleh dari kebun secara gratis. Secara ekologis, kotoran sapi dapat dimanfaatkan untuk pupuk organik dan dikembalikan lagi ke kebun. (S01, EC1).

Beside utilized as mulch, empty fruit bunches as the solid waste of the factory will also be used as the main raw material of empty fruit bunches and shell power plant which is now in the stage of document preparation and Feasibility Study (EN7, EN22). PTPN XIII has initiated the Integrated System of cow-oil palm since 2009 in Gasing village, Ngabang, Regency of Landak, West Kalimantan. The group members of oil palm-cow plasma get the integrated field training of oil palm-cow and 32 cows through Partnership and Environmental Development Program. The cow food is obtained from the combination of green plants, wet decanter solid, and side product of the plantation, those are oil palm sheaths and and leaves (EN 22). From the social aspect, the cow-oil palm farmers can have additional income from managing low-budget small-scale farm since the food for the cattle is obtained from own plantation for free. Ecologically, the cow stool can be used as organic fertilizer and returned to the plantation (SO1, EC1).

PTPN XIII telah merencanakan untuk memperluas cakupan program Sapi-Sawit di wilayah Distrik Kalimantan Barat I yaitu di Kebun Plasma Rimba Belian dan Plasma Gunung Meliau serta Distrik Kalimantan Barat II yaitu di Kebun Plasma Parindu dan Plasma Kembayan yang akan dilaksanakan mulai tahun 2011 sampai dengan akhir tahun 2012. Pengelolaan Limbah Cair Kegiatan operasional Pabrik Minyak Sawit dan Pabrik Karet PTPN XIII (Persero) menghasilkan limbah cair yang harus dikelola dengan baik agar tidak menimbulkan masalah lingkungan dan mengganggu kesehatan manusia. Untuk itu, Perusahaan melakukan pemantauan atas kualitas air berdasarkan Kepmen No51/MENLH/10 tahun 1995, meliputi enam parameter yang diuji, yakni BOD, COD, TSS, minyak dan lemak, nitrogen dan PH. Pengukuran dilaksanakan oleh Laboratorium yang terakreditasi (BARISTAN/ SUCOFINDO). (EN21, EN22) Hasil pengukuran tahun 2010 menunjukkan kualitas air di beberapa unit usaha masih ada yang diatas ambang batas. Upaya yang dilakukan Perseroan untuk menjaga kualitas air adalah dengan mengoptimalisasikan Instalasi Pengolahan Air Limbah Pabrik (IPAL). Selain itu, PTPN XIII berupaya untuk memanfaatkan air limbah pabrik minyak sawit untuk menambah kesuburan lahan meskipun masih pada tahap Pilot Project. Limbah yang keluar dari inlet diolah/dialirkan terlebih dahulu ke dalam beberapa kolam penampung untuk mengurangi kadar BOD sampai di bawah 3500 mg/L. (EN21, EN22)
PTPN XIII has planned to expand the Cow-Oil palm program scope in the district area of West Kalimantan I, namely in the Rimba Belian Plasma Estate and Gunung Meliau Plasma Estate, and also district area of West Kalimantan II, namely Parindu Plasma Estate and Kembayang Plasma Estate which will be implemented from 2011 to the end of 2012. Liquid Waste Treatment The operational activities of Palm Oil Mill and Rubber factory PTPN XIII (persero) secrete liquid waste which must be treated well in order not to cause environmental and human health problems. Consequently, the company monitors the water quality based on the Ministry Decree No. 51/MENLH/10 year 1995, including six tested parameters, namely BOD, COD, TSS, oil, grease, nitrogen, and PH. The measurement is carried out by accredited laboratorium (Baristan/Sucofindo (EN21, EN22).
The measurement result in 2010 showed the water quality in some working units were above the threshold limit value. One of the attempts done by the company to keep the quality of the water is by optimizing the Factory Liquid Waste Treatment Instalation (IPAL). Besides, PTPN XIII tries to utilize the oil palm mill liquid waste to fertilize the soil, though the project is still in pilot project stage. The waste coming out of inlet is flowed first to some disposal pools to reduce the BOD content until below 3500 mg/L (EN21, EN22).

Penggunaan Energi
Untuk menggerakkan alat transportasi/alat berat di kebun dan mesin-mesin di pabrik, PTPN XIII memerlukan bahan bakar fosil berupa bensin dan solar. Total konsumsi sumber energi bahan bakar tahun 2010 mencapai 49.267 liter premium dan 3.604.263 liter solar. Tingkat konsumsi tersebut, terutama solar, mengalami penurunan dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Penurunan tersebut disebabkan adanya penurunan material bokar untuk proses produksi di PKR dan Pabrik Karet RSS. Untuk mengurangi dampak lingkungan akibat pemakaian bahan bakar fosil, PTPN XIII menggunakan biodiesel hasil produk sendiri yang lebih ramah lingkungan. (EN3) PTPN XIII memanfaatkan energi tidak langsung berupa penggunaan listrik untuk keperluan kantor, penerangan implasemen pabrik dan perumahan karyawan. Pemakaian energi listrik tahun 2010 mencapai 32.197.020 KWH. Tingkat konsumsi energi listrik mengalami kenaikan 3,93% dibandingkan tahun sebelumnya. Kenaikan ini terutama disebabkan meningkatnya stagnasi dari tahun 2009 sebesar 2,48 dan berakibat jam olah bruto hanya mencapai 39.051 jam. (EN 4) Untuk mengurangi pemakaian energi listrik, PTPN XIII melakukan berbagai upaya, diantaranya adalah menggunakan bola lampu yang hemat energi, mematikan lampu ruangan yang tidak digunakan, mematikan komputer pada saat tidak dibutuhkan. Selain itu, PTPN XIII telah melakukan Pilot project pemanfaatan biomass perkebunan sebagai substitusi BBM untuk pembangkit listrik (PLTD-Janggel) kapasitas 60KVA berlokasi di lingkungan perumahan karyawan PTPN XIII Kebun Pelaihari, bekerja sama dengan Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) serta didukung oleh Kementerian Ristek dan Pemerintah Kabupaten
Energy Consumption
To move the transportation/heavy-duty machinery in the plantation and factory, PTPN XIII needs the fosil fuel such as gasoline and diesel fuel. The total consumption of the fuel source was 49,267 litres of gasoline and 3,604,263 litres of diesel fuel in 2010. The consumption rate, especially diesel fuel, decreases significantly compared to the previous year which was caused by the decrease the rubber raw materials for production process in Crumb Rubber Factory and Rubber Factory RSS. To reduce the environmental effect of the fossil-fuel use, PTPN XIII uses the own product biodiesel that is environment-friendly (EN3).
PTPN XIII utilizes the indirect energy such as electricity for office use, factory implacement lights, and the employees houses. The electricity consumption in 2010 reached 32,197,020 KWH. The electricity consumption rate increases 3.93% compared to that of previous year. The increase was caused by the stagnation increase in 2009 as much as 2.48 and led to the low bruto processing time which only covered 39,051 hours (EN4).
To reduce the electricity consumption, PTPN XIII has done some attempts, such as using energy-saving bulbs, turning off the lamps wherever they are not used, and turning off the computers whenever they are not used. In addition, PTPN XIII has conducted Pilot Project to utilize the plantation biomass as fuel substitute for power plant (PLTD Janggel) with the capacity of 60KVA located in the housing complex of the PTPN XIII Pelaihari Estate employees. In this case, PTPN XIII works together with Bandung Institute of Tecnology and is supported by The Ministry of Technology and Research and the Regency government of

Water Consumption
The water use in the factory is mostly for the processing and the domestic needs in the employees housing complex. The water consumption rate reached 4,475,790 m3 in 2010, which means there is an increase of 8.06% from the previous year. The increase was due to the addition of production process materials (Fresh Fruit Bunches) in palm oil mill as many as 24,505 tons (EN8).

The Operations of Parindu Palm Oil Mill and Samuntai Palm Oil Mill Uses Biodiesel
PTPN XIII shows its commitment in developing renewedenergy. Beside the limited amount of the fossil fuel availability, the biodiesel development with the drab CPO as raw materials is intended to be a substitute due to its renewed raw materials. In addition, the biodiesel use will also increase the local air quality by reducing dangerous gas emission (such as carbon monoxide (CO), ozone, nitrogendioxide (NO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), other reactive hydrocarbon, and likely inhaled smoke and particles), reduce land pollution and protect the waters and drinking water source conservation. PTPN XIII has two biodiesel processing units (UPB), those are UPB Parindu in Regency of Sanggau, West Kalimantan and UPB Samuntai in Regency of Paser, East Kalimantan. Both units started their operations in 2009, with each capacity 6,000 litres/day. The biodiesel production is used for the company operations, such as for the oil palms transporting trucks using system B20 (20% biodiesel and 80% diesel fuel), and for fixed machinery using system B30 (30% biodiesel and 70% diesel fuel)
The biodiesel produced by PTPN XIII has passed the Indonesian National Standard quality test (SNI). In the future, the production will be promoted so that it can fulfill the need of company operations and at the same time it can be sold to the public gas stations for the community needs of diesel fuel.

Imtihani (48 tahun), merintis usaha tenun sejak tahun 1990. Hasil kerajinan tangan khas masyarakat Sambas ini dipasarkan di Pulau Jawa, dan telah menembus negeri Jitran Malaysia. Saai ini, Imtihani memiliki 20 karyawan, dengan kemampuan produksi 40 stel baju kebaya. Harga kain berkisar Rp 650.000 - Rp 2,5 juta, sedangkan jika sudah menjadi satu stel baju harga mencapai Rp 4 juta. Setelah mendapatkan bantuan dari PTPN XIII, usaha rumahan Imtihani semakin berkembang pesat. Bahkan bulan Juni 2010, mendapat kesempatan dari PTPN XIII untuk mengikuti pameran sekaligus pemasaran produksi di Brunai Darussalam, dan biaya seluruhnya ditanggung oleh perusahaan. Dengan adanya kredit pupuk ini, akan terjawab masalah yang dihadapi petani tersebut. Diharapkan program ini terus berlanjut, sehingga tidak ada lagi petani yang membiarkan kebun mereka tanpa pupuk.

PTPN XIII Supports the Education Plantation Program in Tanjung Pura University
Education, Research and Tourism Plantation is an integrated plantation area consisting of plantation area, forest, horticulture, farm, and fishery. PTPN XIII fully supports the program by giving aid for land clearing in the process of developing the education plantation. The fund was used to build the West Kalimantan Youth Struggle Monument and the construction of Pandu Raya Cooperative Office of Sanggau District, the improvement of roads, bridges and sewage system in Paser District, Tajati Plasma Estate, Danau Salak Estate, and Pelaihari Estate, the reparation/to asphalt Jl. Sultan Abdurrachman, Aren Alley, Pontianak. The construction/reparation of roads, bridges and sewage systems are intended to support the transportation system in order to assist the regional economic improvement. (EC8, SO1) Besides giving physical infrastructure aid, PTPN XIII also gave 600 packages of nine basic commodities through the B Commission of Pontianak Regional Assembly for the poor and neglected children in Pontianak City, 100 packages of nine basic commodities from all East Kalimantan SOEs that supervised the Partnership and Environmental Development Program in Samarinda, holding low-priced bazaar coordinized by the Regional Office of Industry and Trade of the West Kalimantan Province amounting IDR 104.77 million.
Health Improvement
In order to show its support to the improvement of community health quality, PTPN XIII shows a great concern to community health. The total fund distributed through this program was IDR 675 million.

Di bidang kesehatan, PTPN XIII menyediakan sarana kesehatan yang diperuntukkan untuk melayani karyawan PTPN XIII dan masyarakat sekitar dengan tarif yang wajar. Berbagai macam bakti sosial dan pengobatan dilakukan PTPN XIII sepanjang tahun 2010. Beberapa bakti sosial yang dilaksanakan juga melibatkan karyawan dan Ikatan ibu-Ibu Karyawan PTPN XIII, diantaranya adalah sunatan masal. Kegiatan ini menunjukkan kepedulain keluarga besar PTPN XIII terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Selain itu, PTPN XIII juga aktif mengadakan penyuluhan kesehatan tentang tentang gizi dan kesehatan anak, penyuluhan tentang penyakit demam berdarah di sekitar wilayah kerja dan pengobatan gratis di Kebun Kembayan inti, kegiatan donor darah untuk 200 orang dalam rangka HUT Kab. Banjar ke 56 dan HUT RI ke 65, partisipasi mengikutsertakan 100 orang pada kegiatan Jalan Sehat Keluarga Spektakuler di Gor Pangsuma Pontianak. Untuk pengendalian nyamuk demam berdarah dan cikungunya yang merupakan wabah penyakit rutin di sekitar wilayah operasi Perusahaan, PTPN XIII bekerja sama dengan Dinas Kesehatan melakukan pembagian abate berantas DBD di Kab. Kubu Raya dan penanggulangan penyakit DBD dan Cikungunya di Wilayah DKT.
In health sector, PTPN XIII provides health care facilities in order to give affordable health care to the employees of PTPN XIII and the nearby communities. A number of social events and medical care were held in PTPN XIII in 2010. Several social events also involved the employees and the Association of the Wives of PTPN XIIIs Employees, among other by holding mass circumcision. These activities showed the concern of the big family of PTPN XIII to the surrounding areas. Besides that, PTPN XIII is also active in providing health counseling on nutrition and child health, counseling on dengue hemorrhagic fever around the work area and free medication in Kembayan Nucleus Estate, blood donor for 200 people in order to celebrate the 56th anniversary of Banjar District and the 65th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, participating in Spectacular Family Jogging in Pangsuma Sport Center Pontianak by sending 100 people to join the event. To control mosquitoes causing the dengue hemorrhagic fever and chikungunya which are regular outbreak around the Company operation area, PTPN XIII collaborated with the Office of Health Affairs in distributing abate to eliminate dengue hemorrhagic fever in Kubu Raya District and fighting against DHF and chikungunya in DKT area.
