HOW PAPER IS RECYCLED?


Paper products are collected, separated into types and grades, tied into bales and sent to the paper recycling plant. At the plant, the paper is washed with soapy water to get rid of unwanted material such as glue and ink. Staples are also removed. The clean paper is mixed with water in a huge blender. This mixture of paper pulp and water is called slurry. Next, the slurry is mixed with new wood pulp to produce stronger paper. After that, it is pressed into sheets and dried. Finally, it is rolled, cut and ready for use again.
