FADE IN:EXT. FRANKENSTEIN CASTLE - NIGHTOn the side of a mountain sits FRANKENSTEIN CASTLE. Awaterfall pours into the gorge that separates the mountainfrom the surrounding land. Mist from the waterfall obscuresportions of the castle and the drawbridge.DOCTOR VICTOR FRANKENSTEIN (O.S.)(reading)...so they fashioned a coffin ofglass and kept vigil at her side.EXT. FRANKENSTEIN CASTLE - COURTYARD - CONTINUOUSVICTOR (O.S.)(CONT’D)(reading)The Prince soon heard of the fairmaiden in the glass coffin.INT. FRANKENSTEIN CASTLE - THE STUDY - CONTINUOUSDoctor Victor Frankenstein (Victor) sits on a large couch,reads to his son (Jason), 13. A dog (Zarya) on the floor.VICTOR(reading)While the little men kept vigilnear the coffin, the Prince arrivedand recognized his one true love.He leaned over and gave Snow Whitelove’s first kiss, which woke herfrom her magical slumber. ThePrince carried Snow White away tohis castle. And they all livedhappily ever after...The End.JASON(sleepily)Read me another story, Daddy.VICTORIt’s time for bed. 2.INT. FRANKENSTEIN CASTLE - JASON’S BEDROOM - CONTINUOUSJason gets into bed. Zarya jumps onto the bed, snuggles nextto Jason. Victor’s stands in the doorway, shadow in theroom.VICTOR (O.S.)Good night son. I love you verymuch.INT. FRANKENSTEIN CASTLE - VICTOR’S LAB - CONTINUOUSVictor feeds test animals in cages. Glassware, medicalequipment, a large glass container with green liquid, pottedplants, mosses clutter the LAB.Victor crushes leaves and minerals. A red powder is pouredinto a small red barrel atop the desk. Next to it is asmall blue barrel.Victor tired, writes a few notes in a journal, falls into arestless sleep. Victor’s arm knocks over items on the desk.FOG/MIST OBSCURES SCENE INTO DARKNESSINT. MILITARY HOSPITAL - DAY (DREAM)FOG/MIST EVAPORATESA younger Victor places a cloth over the nose and mouth of apatient. Sounds of distant fighting. Patient falls asleep.VICTORWe’ll have to amputate. Nurse, canyou help me here, please?A commotion. A badly wounded cavalry officer (Edgar) iscarried in, placed onto a nearby bed.VICTOREdgar!Victor rushes to Edgar, provides treatment.EDGAR (VICTOR’S OLDER BROTHER)Hey, little brother, don’t let medie, okay.Victor treats Edgar. Another commotion.
