B]Standards for Campaign MaterialsAGENCY:
RRRA Elections (RE)
ACTION:
IMPLEMENTATION OFREGULATION.
SUMMARY:
The elections office isimplementing regulations and informingparticipants in the 2
nd
RRRA Election of2013 or potential participants ofchanges and new regulations applicableto CAMPAIGN MATERIALS.CAMPAIGN MATERIALS are any materialthat;a.)
 
Conveys support for any team orcandidate; and/orb.)
 
Solicits support for any team orcandidate; and/orc.)
 
Is reasonably construed by theelections office to solicit supportfor any team or candidate;and/ord.)
 
Is reasonably construed by theelections office to conveysupport for any team orcandidate; and/ore.)
 
Attempts to solicit an elector tonot vote for any team orcandidate.CAMPAIGN MATERIALS must beauthorized by the campaign and mustinclude the AUTHORIZATION TAG of thecampaign which shall either be anauthorization from the OFFICIAL AGENTor an authorization from all three (3)CANDIDATES in the event that they donot appoint an OFFICIAL AGENT.CAMPAIGN MATERIALS may not;a.)
 
Contain the look and feel ofmaterials used in a previousRRRA election held in the sameschool year; and/orb.)
 
Contain the look and feel ofmaterials used in a CUSAelection held previously in thesame school year or; and/orc.)
 
Contain the look and feel ofmaterials used in any electionthat previously occurred atCarleton in the same schoolyear, where that election was forany position that representsmore than one-thousand (1000)students on any organization atthe university or where theposition specifically represents afaculty; and/ord.)
 
Contain the look and feel ofmaterials used in any electionoccurring simultaneously with aRRRA election, where thatelection is for any position thatrepresents more than one-thousand (1000) students onany University body or where theposition specifically represents afaculty; and/ore.)
 
Convey, in any respect,messaging that contravenes theCarleton Human Rights Code.Look and Feel is determined by theelections office. The CEO shall use his orher discretion in determiningcontraventions of the look and feelregulation.Any and all materials submitted to theCEO shall within twenty-four (24) hoursof submission be given a definitiveanswer on the status of its look and feel.Submissions for CAMPAIGN MATERIALshall be accepted through electroniccorrespondence to the elections@rrra.ca  e-mail only. This shall act as anelectronic receipt.
