COOKIE RECIPESPEANUT BUTTER COOKIES:¾ C. creamy peanut butter ½ C. shortening (Crisco sticks)1 ¼ C. firmly packed light brown sugar 3 T. milk 1 T. vanilla1 egg1 ¾ C. flour ¾ t. Salt¾ t. Baking sodaPreheat oven to 375Combine peanut butter, shortening, brown sugar, milk and vanilla in large bowl. Beat atmedium speed with electric mixer until well blended.Add egg and beat just until blended.Combine flour, salt and baking soda.Add to creamed mixture at low speed.Mix just until blended.Shape into 1 ½ inch balls . Place on baking sheet and flatten with tines of fork in crisscross pattern (lightly dip fork tines into flour to keep batter from sticking to fork)Bake 7-8 minutesRemove from oven and press mini peanut butter cups or Hershey kisses into center of cookie. Let set a couple of minutes then remove to a cool surface till cooled completely.
