OASYS WATER, INC.Oasys Water seeks a Senior VP of Engineering to oversee the design, construction and operation of thecompany's demonstration plants. Candidates must have significant experience managing prior scale-upefforts involving first-of-a-kind processes in RO or related desalination/membrane treatment technology.
Responsibility:
The ideal candidate will lead engineering efforts for the demonstration and commercialization of thecompany’s forward osmosis water desalination technology and will be the lead contributor to the processengineering, design and operation of the company’s pilot, demonstration and commercial units. Specifictasks will include analysis of competing technologies and processes, oversight over the design andconstruction of a 200-1000 m

/day pilot demonstration unit, oversight over the design and standardizationof commercial production units, management of the company’s engineering partners and responsibility forthe operation of the company’s demonstration units. This position will be filled by a hands-on teamplayer, with applicable technical expertise.
Experience:
•
Candidate should have 10-15 years in chemical process/system engineering and management
•
Successful demonstration and scale-up of new water treatment processes in the area of reverseosmosis desalination and related membrane treatment technology a must
•
Specific experience in the design and operation of skid mounted portable membrane and thermalseparation process equipment a plus (e.g. distillation columns for gas stripping such as sourwater stripping or similar).
•
Ideal experience will include oversight over the production of modular water treatment systemswith international engineering/manufacturing partners
Skills:
•
Candidate should have working intimate knowledge of all facets of chemical processes/designand integration, particularly desalination processes/technologies, to include both membrane andthermal methods
•
Candidate should ideally be able to design and specify equipment for seawater desalination anddistillation column based gas stripping processes
•
Technical leadership skills should allow the candidate to lead by example, assist the team inaccomplishing all tasks and demonstrate ownership and accountability for the entire engineeringgroup
•
Excellent knowledge base in chemical system manufacturing scale-up, fluid dynamics, andmaterials of construction are required
