Represented the Lucknowi Tehzeeb: Dr. K.M. Singh Prof. Mahdi Hasan represented much of the tehzeeb (culture) that Lucknow was once known for. When I joined MBBS in 1960-61, Prof. Mahdi Hasan was a MS Ist year student. He was simultaneously working as a Demonstrator in King George Medical College. I recall that he had excellent command on the subject. He taught from the heart and could teach even one student anywhere for hours. His students loved him for his teaching style. Over and above this, he had qualities that made him outstanding. He had a good built. He was an excellent gentleman and affectionate teacher. He kept in touch will all his students as far as possible and used to say that he has attained everything in his life through his students. Dr. K.M. Singh Former Professor & Founder Head of Deptt.
