Winner of the Civic Trust’s City ofCulture Award 2008, renovatedby Purcell Miller Tritton LLP.This scheme provides a new focalpoint for Liverpool City Centre, and deservedly, is a popularsource of civic pride. Originallydesigned in the 1830’s as a civichall and courts, St George’s Hallhas been brought back into useafter 23 years of closure. Therenovation of the Grade II listedbuilding, and improvements tothe external works has restoreda great asset to the communityand the city. A wonderful symbolfor an historic, internationallyacclaimed city.
