Party, which he felt had the best interest of Germany in their forefront. Hitler spoke atmeetings for the party and was asked to come back. After he spoke several times, hebecame the president of this organization and invented the swastika. In 1920, the 25Points of the Nazi Party were proclaimed, one called for the removal of the Jews fromthe German Society. The Nazis tried to seize power by force in November 1923, but were stopped by the Munich police. Hitler was convicted of high treason. He was sentenced to prison, where he served about a year. While in prison he began to write
("My Struggle"), which later became the second Bible in Nazi Germany.Hitler came up with a series of measures designed to eliminate the Jews fromGerman life. Some of these were gradual exclusion from most spheres of professionalactivity, rules as to where they could live, prohibition of marriage and other relationsbetween Germans and Jews, economic sanctions and many others. Jews were harassed, attacked, beaten and otherwise persecuted. Many were incarcerated in concentrationcamps under "protective custody" orders. There they were beaten, abused andfrequently murdered.Hitler decided to run for chancellor of Germany and was appointed by President Von Hindenburg in 1933. When he succeeded, he said “ I begin with the young. Weolder ones are used up. But my magnificent youngsters! Look at these men and boys! What material! With them I can create a new world.” This quote is very true and very bad at the same time. It is good because children are our future. It is bad because Hitler wanted to use them for his own evil purposes. He once also said “ Those who want tolive, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of the eternalstruggle do not deserve to live”.
