World Fuel Additives
is defined as products added to fuelsto enhance specific properties. Total product demand is provided in kilogramsand segmented by type in terms of:
 oxygenates
 specialty fuel additives.Certain commodity products that also function as blending components, such asethanol and biodiesel, are not included in demand totals. However, they arediscussed in this report due to their impact on specialty fuel additive use andoverall fuel consumption. Total demand is also segmented by application in terms of:
 gasoline
 distillate fuel and other applications such as jet fuel and residual fuel oil.In addition, demand and the various segments are provided for the followingregions:
