The Authority is undertaken a programme of refurbishing its Primary Schoolsand increasing the number of Primary places.This programme represents Central Government funding which is devloveddirectly to Schools to be spent on upkeep and improvement of schoolbuildings.Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is an investment programme sponsoredby the DfES. This includes the systematic rebuilding and renewal of thesecondary school estate across England, to ensure that, in a number of waves over the next few years, a 21st century learning environment is createdfor every secondary school pupil in the country.
